You don't tie up the courts and make your municipality look like a fool in the press over a kid just being a kid. The cop is a putz, and he needs to be assessed all court costs, as well as suspended. He lacks the judgement necessary for law enforcement.

Looks to me as though some real common sense is needed here, from the “victim” to the cops to the kid’s dad, and to the kid. When we have adults all acting like spoiled little brats, (re: US House of Representatives and US Senate), society is not being served well, and it is way past time we have to keep putting up with this B.S.! They all NEED TO GROW UP, and soon.

I hear you on the “Mass Stupidity”.
In other news, Congress is quietly moving ahead with HR 1022, the new “assault weapons ban”. This one HAS no ‘sunset’ and pretty much includes 90% of all firearms in American law-abiding civilian hands.
The criminals and real terrorists (the ones screaming ‘admiral ackbar’) will still get to keep their full auto rifles/subguns as will the congress' private security forces (ala Fienstein). The rest of us, however, will be disarmed.

He can do some hard time with Ralphie who I believe is still serving time for being caught with that Red Ryder carbine action two-hundred shot range model air rifle.

We have indeed become a nation of idiots.Yep. If the lady 'victim' and Randy the Cop are in the majority in this country, we really do need Hillary elected to take care of us. Unbelievable!

The dad is a putz and should be the one facing charges.
Both you and the woman who "feared for her life" need mental help.

I didn’t say the cop showed good judgment, I was commenting on the dad’s culpability. It was black, it was shotgun shaped, and the kid was pointing it at other cars in the new world of drive-by shooting. Maybe you’re not familiar with the crime reports down here but the locals are. The kid is lucky that some good old boy didn’t cap his arse or that some other driver catching the barrel of something pointed at them didn’t slam on their brakes and cause a multi-car pile up, perhaps with fatalities. But dad is laughing it off. I didn’t say punish the kid, I said punish the dad. I stand by that.

A felony conviction would preclude this kid from voting for life, A common misconception but no, it does not.

Rubber band guns is mild to what i used to do at that age. Fill up an empty CO2 cartridge with match heads and shoot it out of a piece of water-pipe. Nobody thought nothing of it unless it went through someones window...LOL

Its clear to me the charges were because the father said it was no big deal. He copped an attitued, and they “showed him” at the expense of his kid.
