This is the homestretch.
Call and e-mail your senators today, Republicans and Democrats, urging them not to table debate on this critical piece of legislation.
It deserves a fair and open debate of all ramifications. To do otherwise is unamerican.
Ask them to vote "NO" on cloture.
Keep bumping this to the top.
Today is the day.

LOL! I had fun doing it. It really felt good, even though I only left a message on the machine.

When are they going to get around to their resignations? Well ... if you're lucky enough to have Senator Jeff Sessions as your senator then you may have a different opinion about at least one of them ...:-)

He was forceful on Medicare Part D also. He’s forceful when he meets strong opposition. He has a lot of power to twist arms. Let’s hope the twist is not in this time.

Other drivers include -
Democrats smacking their chops over the windfall in new voters, mostly Democrat, that this will produce.
Multicultural liberals celebrating their inate superiority over the unwashed who still believe in America as a special nation.
Idiots who think that those picking crops for low wages are going to be content to pick crops for low wages after they are legalized.

We conservatives need to get over some of our corporation love and realize that the unionist Democrats are right — this bogus bill is being driven by corporate interests trying to keep wages down. That’s bad. That’s very bad of businesses to do that.

That's about it, in a nutshell.
See how easy it is to agree, when people just tell the truth with each other?

The legislation calls for 854 miles of double wall/fence...

Senator Sessions is the best. He’s one of the reasons people in Alabama are so fortunate.

They're voting on whether or not to send the Seargant-at-Arms out to round up Senators. Hopefully, that means they are going to break up the "negotiations" before McCain and his ilk can get a deal on cloture.
The final cloture vote is coming very soon!
Hopefully it will be the last nail in this bill's coffin.

We agree,it's a farce,but we can't give up.
We the People owe it to those who came before us,and those who will be here long after we're gone.

OK then, so this is the vote before the vote.

854 miles is nothing...
Mexico shares a 1,951 mile border with the United States
Canada shares a 5,522 mile border with the United States (not counting Alaska)

McConnell voted ‘aye’ to force Senators back... Lott voted ‘no’... I think that is a good sign.

Poor Chambliss seems in over his head. His Bushbot leanings could yet end his career.
