This is the homestretch.
Call and e-mail your senators today, Republicans and Democrats, urging them not to table debate on this critical piece of legislation.
It deserves a fair and open debate of all ramifications. To do otherwise is unamerican.
Ask them to vote "NO" on cloture.
Keep bumping this to the top.
Today is the day.

I just called Murkowski and Stevens. Left a message.
I have to hit their E-mails now.

I’ve called Kyl and McCain so many times, in varying degrees of rage, I am really afraid I am on some special “watch” list now.

Chambliss now talking about “triggers”, which will are a sham. The Secretary of DHS will simply “certify” that they are “securing the border” and then it’s amnesty time.

The picture on my media player look like a Salvador Dali painting.
I say that is quite fitting. Surreal. Just like what is going on in the Senate.

Blackmail and bribery going on at this minute. Shameful.
And the WH is complicit in that malfeasance. Very shameful.
Who are they trying to work over exactly...??

350 miles is nothing. Do they think we are fools or have they never seen a map of the United State?

I seriously doubt that.
If you're going to phish with one liners, at least try to use the correct bait.

Senator Lamar Alexander’s office is closed and mailbox is full.
I hope he got the message loudly and clearly today that he will have his patootie sent home if he votes for this bill tonight.

They’ll vote to continue debate. They have some fragile deals they have to cobble together to get enough votes to pass anything They need time.
Keep up the pressure and be sure to tell them exactly why you don’t like the bill.
A Democrat staffer on the House side told me this evening that they hope the bill dies in the Senate. They don’t want to deal with it. It’s radioactive and they already know everyone hates it, because they are already hearing about it.
Good work, I say!
To: publana
Why did Sen. Brownback bother showing up at the debates if he was going to pull this?

Good. I have been calling my Congressional Rep and telling him the House should be telling the Senate that the bill stinks and they don’t want any part of it. In theory that makes no difference, but in fact I’m sure it does.

We conservatives need to get over some of our corporation love and realize that the unionist Democrats are right — this bogus bill is being driven by corporate interests trying to keep wages down.
That’s bad.
That’s very bad of businesses to do that.
