Al Gore calls it, "The Assault on Reason," but his brand of environmentalism sounds a lot more like a new form of faith.
In his book "An Inconvenient Truth," Al Gore confesses that global warming: "offers us the chance to experience what very few generations in history have had the privilege of knowing: a generational mission ; the exhilaration of a compelling moral purpose ; a shared and unifying cause ; the thrill of being forced by circumstances to put aside the pettiness and conflict that so often stifle the restless human need for transcendence; the opportunity to rise ...
"When we do rise, it will fill our spirits and bind us together. Those who are now suffocating in cynicism and despair will be able to breathe freely. Those who are now suffering from a loss of meaning in their lives will find hope." When we rise, "we will experience an epiphany as we discover that this crisis is not really about politics at all. It is a moral and spiritual challenge."

"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
Algore? Do you mean the “Hippy, dippy, weatherman?”
Al Gore’s hell is never winning another election. He’s living it every day of his skiffy liberal life and I think it’s frickin’ hilarious.
Al Gore is either really stupid or insane......
Al Gore is off the reservation, if so on purpose for money he is more evil than we ever thought.
Or a marketing genius. See Michael Moore, Dennis Rodman, etc...
...proving there's more than one way to die.
Al Gore = Megalomaniac. He’s mentally ill, like Hitler. Yet many will believe him and follow him.

I think he and a lot of others have found a niche. They throw a lot out there and this one happened to catch on with a lot of people who need a cause and who are blissfully unaware of Islamo-fascism (or think it will go away when Bush does).
I submit to you that he was unhinged by that rejection and is creating his own religion with himself as the Prophet, Savior and High Priest!
In Milwaukee, our weatherman used to have a puppet named Alber the Alley Cat that he did the weather with......maybe we could elevate Albert the Alley Cat to a deity.
