Tancredo says he won't advertise in Spanish...If any Dems are going to cross over vote, they'll do it for Tom or Duncan!
Both are very popular in heavily hispanic districts.

Why does McCain insist on beating up on Republicans?
Stupid and inexcusable.
He is part of the problem.
To: Pyro7480
I have no problem with that.
Funny thing, that is existing law.
The new shamnesty does not address it.
Enforce the laws that exist.

I dont think thats a flip-flop on Rudys part. When he spoke about the ID at a previous debate everybody assumed he meant the IDs would be for citizens, but he clarified that they would be for immigrants. Wrong. He was on record as supporting national ID card for ALL people, long before he declared that he was running for president. I've posted the quotes on FR before. I'll dig them up after the debate ends.

True. I think he was going to get around to it — not enough time. I liked what he said about not being obsessed about solving problems, though — and being positive about the opportunities we have.
Look, I went to college in Miami and had several friends from Cuba. They spoke English pretty well and sat through English classes, but Spanish was the language of their heart. I think Mitt is smart to have his sites in Spanish, too. There are legal immigrants here who speak English, but can grasp ideas better in Spanish.

In respect to immigration, the big problem is never discussed. Until 10,000 years ago we lived for thousands upon thousands of years in small family groups. Outsiders were bitterly resisted as being likely to take our lands and women.
From the Pleistocene age on to this day, we are hard wired to resent and attack newcomers either symbolically or physically.
This “hard wired response” is what makes discussing this issue so hard. Thanks to the founding fathers we have a representative democracy and we do not govern by plebiscite. Hopefully, Congress will do what is necessary, take their lumps and do the best they can with a difficult, emotionally laden issue.
President Clinton and a few Democrats joined the Republicans in doing welfare reform. Hopefully, we will be able to do the same for illegal immigration.

ah! Thanks for that reply, that does make more sense than the victim card.

They pretty much are giving blanket answers.....good for them.

He appears to be really bright; you can see it in his eyes.
If he ever hits his stride, he might be unstoppable, like Reagan was. Seriously.
Brains, business savvy, Harvard MBA & JD, wholesome, classic grooming and appearance, good health, disciplined. And ambitious.
