Thats a pretty good defense. He just fell for the old I am the special assistant to the Nigerian ambassador email scam.
Dude! He stole my sweet secret Nigerian bank account. They promised me millions in that
email they sent me!

Gee, that cartoon resembles our former Speaker. What a strange coincidence. LOL.

This is a victory for liberalism in a sense because whoever replaces Jefferson is likely to be far more liberals than he has been. He has been in the tradition of one of his former employers, J. Bennett Johnston, Jr., now a wealthy lobbyist.

Have you ever tried to thaw out a big bundle of cash? I've tried heat lamps, microwave ovens, electric blankets, and it takes for-freaking-ever. It's even tougher to thaw out an indictment, at least for this Justice Department. But, indicted he is, at last! Now we get to watch him spiral down the porcelain chute.

"IIRC the FBI found out about the cash after Hurricane Katrina when he had the National Guard put their rescue activities on hold to go get his freezer with the cash."
"IIRC, the cash was in the freezer of his home near Washington, D.C., not at his residence in LA. He did get the NG to make accomodations to get his to his house in LA, but that was probably because of another stash."
No, fellas. The FBI sting with video and subsuquent search of the NEW ORLEANS residence was just before Katrina.
In the aftermath, during a "tour" of the devastation, he ordered the NG guys to bring him to his house. While retrieving items from his house, the truck became stuck in the mud, and had to be pulled out by another truck. A helicopter was also diverted from its rescue missions and sent to his house just in case the truck couldn't get out.

Please feel free to follow the links in post #175. The cash was found in the freezer in his home in Washington, D.C. His home in New Orleans was searched at the same time, but that is not where the cash was stashed.

You are correct, JDB. It was even announced at the news conference today that the money was found at his Washington DC residence.

Will Ms. Nancy ask him to resign? The question is, why aren't any of the REPUBLICANS asking him to step down?
Because they are all a bunch of crooks? We need to throw the whole damn bunch of em out and start over. By force if necessary.

Not really....it takes time to put all the facts together. Better to have all the solid evidence before an indictment of a blk rat congresscritter from New Orleans, LA...can’t you imagine what’d happen if they did not...

Here is an opportunity to say something somewhat positive about DU and give credit where credit is due: the general opinion there, it seems nearly unanimous even, is Jefferson is a snake, and should resign, be disowned by the 'Rats, etc. My hat's off to them for feeling that way.
Now, I go back to my generally negative opinion of DU.
