Governor Richardson, I’ve got a message for you from President Lincoln: “Too late.”
All the Democrats in Sunday night’s New Hampshire debate had one thing in common: The more they talked, the worse they sounded. And the poster boy for this trend was indisputably Bill Richardson.
Who’s been spreading the idea that Richardson is the “break out” candidate in this race? He was lousy in the last debate and worse in this one. Richardson’s rambling, ill-informed musings were so jaw-droppingly awful, the voters of New Mexico may be tempted to impeach their governor out of sheer embarrassment.
Gov. Richardson may be the first presidential candidate in history to talk himself out of the vice presidency.
From a performance standpoint, the indisputable winner was Sen. Joe Biden. But even he ended up talking away his own victory.
Biden’s success came largely from his common sense and his passion. His spirited efforts to explain the basic workings of American government to the nutroots in his own party (ably represented by Dennis Kucinich) were refreshing, inspiring, even. Biden is solidly critical of the war in Iraq and President Bush, but he also understands that sending soldiers to fight and not paying for the war is an unconscionable mistake that the American people won’t support. He was angry that his fellow Democrats abandoned the troops, and it showed.
But Biden didn’t know when to turn it off. He seemed pretty steamed about everything else, too. Darfur, “don’t ask, don’t tell,” immigration — at one point he even used the phrase “speaking truth to power.” You go, Joe!

I’m not sure if you remember this but quite a while back we were talking about Richardson running and I said I was all for it. And the reason I stated back then was because I couldn't’t wait until he got to the debates with his fellow dims.
I said back then that they would eat his lunch and he would show what an embarrassment he is to this nation as well as New Mexico.
I love it when a plan comes together. I have a sweet tooth for this. :)

How’d he make it successfully through a campaign for governor?
He won with 2/3 in 2006 and nearly as much in 2002. I don’t that many votes can be stolen. No, NM believes in him or wants to so badly.
The insane people seems to be spread all around the country. They are no longer concentrated in AZ and CA!

Do you live in NM? The Republican candidate who ran against him last time didn’t even get MY vote. You like him, fine. Vote for him.
He would not debate his opponent.
I guess even a broken clock is right twice a day.
That did make all the difference for the governor's race. I think that and an almost deperation of common New Mexicans to have some type of national symbol for them to glom onto made the difference.
Richardson would have been wise to continue with his "no debate" strategy in this case too and only do the news shows like he usually does. But fortunately for us he stuck his neck out.
I will now sit back and enjoy myself as he slowly goes down in flames.
Very slowly, I hope..the longer he stays out of state campaigning, the better off we are.
All I get from watching the Rats debate is: The war is bad,Bush is Bad, We’ll have to raise taxes.
What do you expect? 48% of voters are legal Latinos, who knows how many illegals vote in NM. I shudder to think how bad it will be if they grant amnesty!
I really hope that he burns himself bad enough to rule out taking one of our senate seats which would be his fall back position.
I would hope so, but it takes a LOT to embarrass those goomers in the northern part of the state.

How anyone could consider a person that claimed 256 times under oath ‘I can’t recall’ for the Presidency is stunning.
