Just when the dust was beginning to settle following President Bush's latest assault on common sense, in which he accused conservatives of "spreading fear" by being honest about amnesty, Senator John McCain decided that fear mongering was not such a bad tactic after all. In fact, McCain decided that fear mongering was essential in trying to sell his amnesty snake oil to a skeptical and increasingly suspicious public.
On June 2, McCain rolled out his fear-based defense of amnesty on the campaign trail in Le Mars, Iowa. Responding to a question about deportation of illegal aliens, McCain delivered the following dilly: "In case you hadn't noticed, the thousands of people who have been relegated to ghettos have risen up and burned cars in France,'' McCain said. "They've got huge problems in France. They have tremendous problems. The police can't even go into certain areas in the suburbs of Paris. I don't want that in the suburbs of America.''

“In case you hadn’t noticed, the thousands of people who have been relegated to ghettos have risen up and burned cars in France,’’ McCain said.
In case you didn’t notice, John, a lot of the citizens in this country are armed to the teeth. Rioters don’t scare us. They only scare the government.
McCain thinks we should have mob rule in the U.S.
McCain’s solution is to not enforce existing laws, but make new ones. It’s the same solution he applied to the campaign finance violations of the Clintonistas. The Clintonistas were taking money from Communist China, which is illegal. Solution? The McCain-Feingold legislation, which is a violation of the First Amendment rights we are all supposed to have.
What McCain is pointing to here, in his gross and angry ignorance, is what happens when an underclass is deliberately created, as his amnesty bill intends.
The French youth to which he refers are second generation, French-born, non-deportable citizens of a non-assimilated permanent underclass -- the same type of underclass this amnesty bill will create, with the same sorry results.
But we are to believe that they would suddenly obey all other laws and become good citizens “if only...”
He just lit the match!
He just lit the match!
“Hell, John, we aint French.”
And 200 million of us are armed. We won’t put up with it.
Ummm John ... they weren't rioting because of deportation .. the were rioting because the French government wanted them to actually work for a living and stop living off the taxpayers
Kneel before Zod before it’s too late! Thanks for that, John. /s/
Good point... I think it’s time to photoshop a race card for this purpose.
Sounds like terrorism to me. Might not be islamic, might not be bombs and beheadings, but it still sounds like terrorism.
Either do what these people want, or they’ll riot and hurt people and destroy property. Yup, that’s terrorism.
What does Laura have to do with it?
does mccain think we live in rome of the emperors?he wants us to just give up and let the world pour in unchecked-i have lost all respect for him-i never had any for that bowl of turds kennedy
Remember during one of his campaigns, he and his wife were up on the stage with Star Wars type light swords? I thought he had lost it back then. I'm beginning to think all of these politicians have lost it.

Wow. McCain’s warning us? Threatening us?
How in the world does he calculate this is going to help the situation? He implies right up front that these illegal aliens are a combustible group who cannot be trusted to refrain from rioting in the streets...AND YET- he wants them to become a permanent part of America.
WTH are he, and they, THINKING?
(A purely rhetorical question)
Thats great now McCain is threatening us with violence if we do not do what he wants. Hmm... where did I see this before.. yep in France. Did not work there, and it sure is not going to work here.
bttt
And your point, McPain, is?
Usually invasions are met with armed resistance except in America where we try to talk them into behaving....or give them all kinds of rights and exceptions to rules that even our own citizens don’t enjoy.
I hope that the American public will vote out those traitors in congress who are gutting this nation with “undocumented workers who do jobs Americans won’t do”!
