I liked Gravel pointing out to Hillary that her husband robbed Peter to pay Paul, when he pointed out that Billy Boy robbed SS of 250 million to “balance the budget”.

I thought Gravel’s performance was great as counterpoint.
He’s still a kook but he did call out the other candidates on their program plans, spending, etc.
I was surprised.
Just because I don’t agree with this AMNESTY BILL doesn’t mean I won’t work to prevent Hillary from getting elected. I don’t respond well to threats, and no amount of scare tactics are going to make me change my mind when it comes to this issue. Scare tactics just prove the point that this is a bad bill, and the only thing people can think of is personal attacks and scare tactics to try and dissuade their opposition.
There is a lot more at stake than this one issue — although the issue of illegal immigration and border control crosses over into many areas — Education, National Security, Health & Human Services, Justice, Law Enforcement, Job Security, Economics, Health Care, etc...
This thread is supposed to be about examining the enemy and learning how they are trying to frame the debate for ‘08. I really don’t want this thread to get side-tracked into another debate solely over immigration. People were curious about what the Dems were saying, and I answered with what I heard THEM saying.
