"The Democratic debate will air live on CNN at 7 p.m. ET tonight."
"All the candidates -- except Hillary Clinton -- have to try to shake up this race," he said. "They need to say something that gets Democrats to look at them fresh and say, 'Well now isn't that interesting? I didn't know that about this candidate.'

I tell you Obama sounds almost normal. I don’t agree with anything he believes in but he isn’t coming off moronic.
I like the way he had the common sense to qualify his official first act, which was, of course, surrendering. But instead of going for cheap political tricks, like Hillary did, the man did at least say “if nothing’s changed”.
I don’t like him but if you held a gun to my head and said “Obama or Hillary”, well of course I’d tell you to go ahead and shoot.
I’m just saying....
Hillary is in favor of campaign finance reform -— http://youtube.com/watch?v=THg-SGXhnoA
Fred Thompson on C-SPAN at 9:30 PM EST
They supplied enough material tonight to keep him going for a year at least. And that was in the 10 minutes I was able to stomach. No telling after that.
All I caught was Obama stuttering out a weak answer.........he looked like he was outclassed.....I didn’t catch the whole thing though.

Obama was noticably shaky to the point of incoherence.
Interesting debate. Senator Gavel appeared to possess more wisdom than the entire field combined.
I heard a little of the discussion about immigration. Blitzer asked how the bill is not amnesty, and they trotted out stuff about how these people are not going to receive instant citizenship. Basically, the same stuff we hear from Republicans who are for this bill with the exception that they believe it might be “too tough” on the illegals...
I made a comment the other day on a thread that I think is a pretty valid point — if the punishment for illegal immigrants who have perpetrated ID Fraud/Theft & Tax Evasion isn’t the same (or worse) as what U.S. Citizens receive for the same crimes then it is indeed Amnesty no matter what spin you put on it...
She’s in favor for everything I am not.
Well, all of them, actually.
Can’t believe I got through the entire debate.
She truly sounds like a witch, too.
Well I watched as much of it as I could.
No 1, The Alaskan is all by himself, why wasn’t he “in the group”, I mean, folks, it is important, that he be included “in the group”, not by himself, off the the RIGHT.
No 2, Hillary does not have her legs splayed as far apart as the rest of the fellows do. Now that’s important.
No 3, The only one up there who seems to have done something for America, with little pay, as a Peace Corps Volunteer, but NEVER joined the military, (during the Vietnam conflict), no guts. But did volunteer to help.
No 4, These wonderful individuals who have NEVER put their lives where their mouths are, are telling the American public how they are going to SAVE America. Not one of them had the gumption or bravery that our Volunteer Military have. Just about everyone of these individuals have had the opportunity to help America during a time of stife in VietNam, but chose to apply for and received either a college/university deferment or marraige deferment to stay out of the military. NOW they are asking us to vote for them to save us from another 9/11. Pray tell, what will they do, when we are hit during their time in the whitehouse? Stick out heads in the sand while they are hiding in a safe buncker, build by the volunteer military?
I’m of the old school, Help America when she is in need, discard those who HID under a clause in the law, and put someone in charge who has the courage to do what is right for America.
I liked Gravel pointing out to Hillary that her husband robbed Peter to pay Paul, when he pointed out that Billy Boy robbed SS of 250 million to “balance the budget”.
I am so stealin’ that one...
Whew! Scared me there for a moment!

Good. Thanks
Please do. Just created it yesterday.
It’s really not slang, it’s good Italian — it’s ‘capisce’, not capisci, and pronounced “capeesh”. As you say, it means “do you understand?”, but the response is ‘capisco’: “I know/understand”.
