Yes rubbish is a problem in Britain. If anything the older generation of Brits are the worse.
A lot have the attitude well someone is employed to clear it up some even go further if I did not throw it down I would be putting someone out of a job - I kid you not that was a thought at one time - less now but a lot of people of my dad’s generation had thought.
Odd thing was I sat next to Portuguese flying into and out of London. They both talked about the enormous problems Portugal is having with a huge influx of Eastern European and African immigrants. One was a school teacher and she said her school has students that speak 27 different languages! All that money wasted on the Kennedy family! I think I could be very happy just traveling around the world the rest of my life.
Not the case in Britain a lot of them have the francise for about 10 or 20 outlets.
...There is no fines attached to hopping the border...
Subject-verb agreement is our friend, especially when we are trying to make an intellectual argument.
But your point is correct. We are now in a position where there is no rule of law. There was a prostitution-sex slave ring broken up in Minneapolis last week by the St. Paul police after a policeman was murdered. The Minneapolis police would not investigate because there was an immigration aspect to the case. The poor young women, kidnapped as sex slaves and dragged across the border and our police can’t protect them!?

Ah that explains it. England and the USA were very similar in some ways yet complete different.
You probably have even more Subway sub stores then we do! I made it a point of staying away from any “American” food. That is one thing I really regret is how American “fast food” shows up EVERYWHERE now days
Of course I was there in April and only got rained on my last day so I probably have an abnormal view of England! ;-)
Let her have to settle for a September '07 entry by Algore-Nadir for the Green Party.

Do you realize if this AMNESTY happens we are in effect creating the equivilent of adding over 17 more states to this country? And thats not even considering the chain migration that is in the Senate bill. Please look at what giving amnesty to as many as 20,000,000 illegal alien foreign nationals actually represents. More than the population of 16 states and DC!
According to the 2000 census, 18,785,867 is the total populations combined of Wyoming, Dist. of Columbia, Vermont, Alaska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Delaware, Montana, Rhode Island, Hawaii, New Hampshire, Maine, Idaho, Nebraska, West Virginia, New Mexico and Nevada.
THINK about that.

Didn’t *say* anything of the sort: asked a question, responding to your last post to me, and you know that.
I compare what is happening in terms of immigration to the oft-repeated example of boiling a frog who is put in a pot of cold water with the heat slowing being increased until the frog realizes too late that it is being boiled alive. Eventually, the American people will realize what is happening. It will come down to whom do you believe, the political elites' spin or "your own lyin' eyes."
