I don’t want anyone controlling the economy but I do want to know who crosses the border.

Because it is easy to blame the top for not enforcing policies but when it comes to it it is often down to an individual that they are not enforced.

I worked for the USG for 36 years. Bush is responsible for the fact that our border has not been secured since 9/11. He is not enforcing the laws of this country. Simple as that.

Yes. and, furthermore, it’s the only solution which would truly solve the underlying problem without the band-aid “fix” of importing masses of foreign peasants.

I caught that, too. My granddaughters still love Nancy Drew, and the PC games that are available. I am sure I will take them to the new movie, too.

Bush is wrong on this issue.

I support Bush on Iraq, I support him when I think he is right, but this bill is not just bad for America, it is offensive.

It is possible to put your foot down and say NO WAY Jorge, and not HATE the man....

I do it with my own children every day.

I agree on some levels, but not the level of jobs the illegals do - field food-picking and hotel janitorial work. But they should be paid a fair wage. All we need in this country is another group of people crying REPARATIONS!!! 30 years from now.

The problem with numbers and illegals is that they are all guesses. We just don't know who is here and who is not. A sidebar to unregulated illegal immigration.

You are right we should never take our eye off the ball which is keeping the rats at bay. Lets hope we do not get a repeat of 06 where tiny tears and pouting ruled the day.

I actually spent a few minutes the other day listening and rewinding the song to get these for the Rush Thread...thought you guys might enjoy it here:

The Star Spanglish Banner - Jose & The Illegals

Jose can you see by zee dawns early light
Cross the border we sailed
As the Gringos were sleeping
What broad stripes and bright stars
We like Red Green and White
On the day that we marched
We were gallantly screaming

And the rally was where
We waived flags in the air
As proof in daylight
That our flag was not theirs

Jose does that star spangled banner yet wave
Hoer de land of weak knees
In D.C. no one’s brave

This problem has been growing for 70 years and now it is President Bush’s fault. It is easier to spew hatred from a radio mike than it is to try to solve this problem.

The President doesn’t have the luxury of saying an economic depression is better than low cost labor. He would have to endure the blame for that cataclysmic nonsense.

Pray for W and Our Troops

It will not be just the low tech industry it will be like what has happened in Britain high tech and complex engineering will disappear.

My company is one of the few that has insisted that design remains in the UK but in some instances to save money design has gone to the far east as well.

Bottom line design and development is expensive and if that can be relocated as well it will be.
