I didn’t know that Jordin was a Christian and pro-life. I saw she had a nose ring and assumed she was a left wing hippie-type. Boy was I wrong. I wish I had voted for her, but instead I voted for Blake.

Good for Mary. She says 7 out of 10 conservatives have good feelings toward George Bush. Newt according to Timmy said that a pubbie should run against Bush. Mary says Newt’s capable of outbursts of genious and of ... outbursts.

At the end of a week during which Bush attacked his conservative base {what’s left of it} for not wanting “what’s best for America”, why the hyper-sensitivity to Gingrich returning fire?

problem is Hillary realizes she may not be able to get more than 45% of the vote no matter what she does. So a third party may be a must for her. Our job is not to fall into the trap. Worth repeating and remembering.
To: snugs
The problem is that many conservatives are getting so worked up over it that it is coming over as anti immigrant even if many do not mean it to. And the Democrats will have a field day with it too
Notice there haven't been many comments from the leaders in their party ... they are sitting back and enjoying what's going on

Is it just me or is this one of the few times in our history where the general population desperately wants US law to be followed by securing the border yet both parties are opposing the will of the people?
Has the will of the people ever been violated like this before in our history?

Hi mathluv,
I agree with everything you said, except I will make a point about immigration. There has to be some reckoning, however if the penalties are excessive, we will continue to have the problem we have. Furthermore, from what I understand, illegal immigrants are currently taking advantage of the legal immigration policies— thus, there are things that need to be looked at all round.
It would make sense to change the requirements and process for legal immigration and to look at how to create enforceable rules.
None of that is in the bill, although it does create felony status for an illegal who committed a violent crime and an automatic out of the US ticket.

I dislike Timmy too. I watched a little of MTP and saw Timmy saying to Mary Matlin, “Try to be objective, I know it is hard for you.” I wanted to throw my shoe at the tv and say, “Take your own advice Tim!”. He would never say that to a democrat strategist.
I cut off the tv in disgust after that.

“THIS WEEK (ABC): Iraqi President Jalal Talabani; Rep. John Murtha”
This could get interesting if they are on the set together. But I don’t think Steffie or his producers have the guts.
Especially since it wold consist of nothing but Talabani exposing Mr. Unindicted Co-Conspirator for the leftist kook that he is.

Maybe on some social issues like prayer in schools. But this is a much more significant issue. I think it is unprecedented.

IMO the feds should cut off freebie funding to all those sanctuary states/cities/towns. That is one of our bigger worries, that will only get worse IMO.

Did you follow the thread on FR? I did not, as much this year, as I have in the past. I could never get excited about any of the participants.
Her pro-life beliefs were mentioned on the thread. She does have a great voice, but I thought Blake did, too - when he was singing and not doing that noise stuff. (Yes, I am too old to like that noise!)

'problem is Hillary realizes she may not be able to get more than 45% of the vote no matter what she does. So a third party may be a must for her. Our job is not to fall into the trap. Worth repeating and remembering.'
Many on FR need that reminder.
