Kadir, a Muslim, left his position in Parliament last year. Muslims make up about 9 percent of the former Dutch and British colony's 770,000 population, mostly from the Sunni sect.

Guyana, you have faaaar to many muslims!

Thanks Fred. The plot involved...
a former airport worker.
I feel much better now -- about not having taken a flight since 2000.

Then along come non-delivery leeching speculators and try and make money off of it.

Who do they buy from? Silly.

“We can fund plenty of “homeland security” for the $2 billion the WH still gives to Egypt each year.”

If that is all we are giving to Egypt now, then we are getting a very good deal. Consider what we would have in Egypt if we quit giving them anything at all and the Murbarak regime fell.

"It will keep out drug smugglers and narco gangs."

Not if they're FLYING of driving a FAST BOAT. How big do you want this wall to be?

"It will keep out many violent street criminals."

Is this assuming that only non-violent ones come here via plane or boat?

"It will keep out TB and who knows what else."

That stupid lawer going around the world infecting everybody with TB is an AMERICAN CITIZEN not an immigrant, and he got around the world ON A PLANE.

"It won’t take ALL our money to build a fence."

It will if you want it to cover the air and sea as well as the Mexican border.

"It will keep out people who don’t respect our laws but demand a political voice."

We've millions of THEM who's families have been here for generations.

"It will keep out future Dem voters."

See above.

"It will keep out people who have no intention of assimilating."

On the border threads, assimilation seems to be the LAST thing on the minds of border bots. Come to think of it, reality is too, since they blame Bush every time he tries to get legislation passed to build border fence, every time he gets legislation passed to build border fence and every time the fence that's slated to BE built doesn't GET built because "human rights groups" and "environmentalists" have it tied up in court.

Thank you, however, for thinking of assimilation. IMO, we need to impliment a policy of assimilation back into the public school system, just we we did post WWII and Viet Nam.

Registering those illegals who are here will only work for those who come up to be registered. Those will be the honest ones. That still leaves the basic problem of the dishonest ones. And if we deport all the honest ones, leaving only the dishonest ones....the plan seems to have some serious flaws.

I’m just waiting on somebody to say that Bush is releasing this now to take attention away from his amnesty plan!

This captures the essence of the insanity that has swept this place.

I read one post that said, if one person died in a terrorist attack in America, he "would Bush personally responsible." This on Free Republic, not DU!

It's a very small step from such a precarious perch of logic to the next which declares, "911 was an inside job."

There are many, apprently, or not so many with many screen names, who ought to be ashamed of themselves for what this issue reveals about them, and the media that stokes them.

Hmmm. The MSM spin on this at first was they weren’t connected with al Qaeda. However, this little tidbit is now out on Yahoo:

“Authorities said two suspects were in custody in Trinidad and Tobago — Abdul Kadir, a citizen of Guyana and former member of its parliament, and Kareem Ibrahim, a citizen of Trinidad and Tobago. Their extradition was being sought, officials said.

Mershon said the fourth suspect, Abdel Nur, a citizen of Guyana, was believed to be at large in Trinidad.

Authorities said Kadir and Nur were associates of Jamaat Al Muslimeen, a Muslim group behind a 1990 coup attempt in Trinidad.”

Apparently one of the Muslims was a former mayor in Trinidad’s second largest city. The report said that Trinidad was 10 percent Muslim.

He was also apparently fleeing to Iran thru Argentina. The government is working with us : they recalled the commercial jet and pull his a$$ off the plane.

Lets hope that he isn’t put in Gitmo and forced to flush Korans down his toilet and wear female panties on his head.

Fleeing to Iran, huh. When all of the Islamofascist leaders and their stooges are killed in Iran, the world and America will be safer and far better places to live.
