That should get the male part of the audience excited.

Oh, you meant not literally.

Laura is kicking her butt. If it was a fight, they’d stop it.

She’s an unabashed apologist for opening the border to low paid unskilled labor.

The race thing is a cheap shot.

I call this bill the "MS-13 and Tuberculosis Importation Act of 2007".

>>She’s an unabashed apologist for opening the border to low paid unskilled labor.<<

And Chavez demonstrated her commitment to hiring illegal laborers! Most here remember that in 2001 Bush nominated her as secretary of Labor. Shortly thereafter, Chavez had to withdraw because she conveniently failed to disclose (some would say lied-by-omission) during the FBI vetting process about providing housing and cash to an illegal alien from Guatemala in return for doing “chores” around the Chavez homestead.

My question to Chavez: why are you so touchy about this issue? Are you worried you may have to mop your floors if there’s no amnesty?

Why so touchy? Because she has a Latin American heritage and views this as a slam against her. I’ve got news for her... the vast majority of people who oppose this bill are not racists- we’re Patriots who care about securing our borders first and enforcing the existing laws first. Most are FOR legal immigration- not rewarding those who have broken existing laws for years. A nation of laws can not exist if the ones we have are not enforced first.

I think she probably does feel that way, but I have no idea why.

The issue is that Americans don't like criminals. Linda's reaction: "So you hate Latinos??" is a very twisted way of viewing this.

I remember Chavez talking about giving out unemployment benefits after Katrina. Basically all that was required was that someone be old enough to work. No consideration was given to immigration status. It didn’t matter if they had a work history or would be eligible under any other circumstances.

Yay free money.

Did you hear her on Laura Ingraham this morning?
Chavez had the unmitigated gall to say that pro-life Americans who were against this amnesty bill are in bed with Margaret Sanger, founder of PlannedParenthood and racist supporter of forced sterilization and eugenics.

How dare she. How effen dare she level such a disgusting, ad hominem attack on those of us who cherish all human life.

THIS is the worst type of “empty political rhetoric” I’ve heard on this issue to date.

What she doesn’t realize is that SHE made the tie between criminals and Latinos... no one else did. She equated the two on her own, no one else did it.

I agree. I don’t want to play amateur psychologist, but I think there may be some self-hatred here.

We turned her off, too. Blood pressure rising...! First she mentioned bringing in highly skilled and educated scientist-type people. Her next sentence was “well, who will work on the poultry farms?” WTF? Scientists working on poultry farms? She made no sense.

Then when she got snarky with the first caller, a teacher, who asked about the illegals in his classroom, we could take no more.

Maybe, but maybe we should follow the money. I wonder if she and other “conservatives” are well-paid to be shills/lobbyists for such a brain dead bill and the open borders policy generally. Who is paying her salary these days?

Personally I suspect that deals were made with the expectation that we the people would simply go along with them. Now the time has come to keep up “our” end of a bargain that we the people never made.

Our government better find a way of getting themselves out of a mess that they got themselves into.
