Follow the money. Somebody has convinced the President that we Americans can’t/won’t maintain the growing economy without cheap labor. Just wait until the lawsuits start for reparations over nonliving wages.

After watching his Father putresce after an extreme outpouring of public support, it comes as no surprise that this President has now done exactly the same thing.

Not only abandoning the people who got him to the dance, but then totally and blatantly disrespecting them.

Read my lips - No more Bushes.

“I’ve never heard of this guy, but man, is he ever spot on on this one.”

Nope he’s wrong.

Unless you dry up the jobs, the illegal’s motivation to come here in the first place, you’ll never solve the problem.

Draconian penalties(large fines and jail time) on the enablers of illegal immigration, the employers who break the law by hiring illegals, HAS to be a part of the solution. A few well publicized frog marches of employers to jail will, as it did in the corporate scandals, get the message across loud and clear. They’re just as guilty as the Mexican who sneaks across the border.

Make it so painful on those who would BREAK THE LAW by hiring illegals OR CONTINUING TO EMPLOY ILLEGALS that the job market drys up and with no chance of continuing income most self-deport or never come in the first place.

Otherwise, nothing will change.

Poor Tony Snow.

He must really be second guessing why he took the job.

I defended and backed Bush because, rightly so, Bush appeared to understand that you don’t “end” wars. You either achieve victory or accept defeat. Bush has been unwilling to do either—he will not engage in war, he will not disengage in defeat. He will stay in the muddle in the middle. He will not fight to win—politically or militarily—nor will the CIA, DoD or DoS. They are all chattering leisure class imbeciles that resemble more than anything the effete, self hating fools, communists and nihilistic “academics” (sodomites and cowards) who presided over the collapse of the British Empire.

Amnesty—yup, that’s what it is. Bush has now left the fold entirely and the remnant GOP will, as a result, in 2008, be a minor irritant to the socialist revolution that is sweeping this once free nation.

Hate speech legislation will pass, Bush may veto, may not, I lean toward he will not. This will effectively silence all but the Michael Moores and the Cynthia Keenans.

Grand Old Party—uh huh, geriatric and senile. In your face homosexual activism is unchecked, invaders are called undocumented workers, high school and college graduates are semi-literate, infantile and unproductive; they have no foundation and are ignorant of even the most basic conventions of an America grounded in a historic exceptionalism that made this the greatest nation on earth.

Just ask George Soros to turn off the lights as he leaves.

Same old bait ‘n switch.

Al Quaeda attacks from Afghanistan, attack Iraq which he wanted to do anyway.

Legal immigrants do well here, let in illegals which he wanted to do anyway.

We have to call them illegal ALIENS, not immigrants, to keep the distinction clear.

"So right out of the chute the president misrepresents the issue. I don’t believe Gutierrez and Martinez are illegal immigrants. They and/or their families immigrated here legally. And it appears both came here to escape the oppression of the Castro regime, not to simply get a higher-paying job. So Gutierrez and Martinez are NOT what this immigration debate is about. The issue is over those who break the law to get here."

The problem with these two men is that they came here legally, worked their way up to positions of power, took the oath to protect the constitution from enemy's foreign and domestic only to labor to betray their own oaths and give America away.

In my simple understanding of things - this is the worst form of treason. Not only should these men lose their positions but be prosecuted, imprisoned and then deported back to their country of origin on completion of their sentence.

When it comes to dealing with the illegal immigration issue, President Bush and his administration are their own worst enemies.

You can say that again, and again, and again, and again...!!!

“I want to mention those two men because, to me, they represent what the immigration debate is all about,” the president said.

So right out of the chute the president misrepresents the issue. I don’t believe Gutierrez and Martinez are illegal immigrants.

The two worst votes I ever made. The man can give a rat’s ass about America or it’s citizens. He’s nothing but an elitist/globalist just like ole’ dad. 6 years and the idiot can’t bring himself to close the friggin’ border. He should be Impeached for dereliction of his duties as President.

nativist, xenophobic/xenophobes [Press Secretary Tony Snow, et al]

bigots [Senator Lindsey Graham]

vigilantes [President George W Bush]

This is what the Washington globalist elites call those in fly-over country who want to preserve the sovereignty of the nation.

Thanks for posting the article.

The author provides an excellent line by line rebuttal to the President’s speech.

It is amazing to me that President Bush never has unkind words for Democrats who have undermined his Presidency and the war in Iraq for seven years, but likes to talk tough to conservatives.

Between immigration, the Law of the Sea Treaty, and carbon taxes, Bush is making a major swing to the left. Maybe we don’t want him nominating anyone else to the Supreme Court. If the Democrats want to impeach (convict) him, I’d recommend that Republican Congressman (Senators) vote “Present.”

George Bush is doing to the Republican Party,
what Jimmy Carter did to the Democrat Party.

The issue is not and has never been about bigotry towards Hispanics. The President ignores the real issue - is whether we should reward law-breaking. If the illegals were white Canadians, my position would be the same. Its wrong, its stupid and its impractical - all the reasons we teach our children why they shouldn't break the law. Our government wants to impart to them the opposite lesson. Its one that doesn't sit well with the American people.

Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." -Manuel II Paleologus
