There has been a sharp decline in contributions from RNC phone solicitations, another fired staffer said, reporting that many former donors flatly refuse to give more money to the national party if Mr. Bush and the Senate Republicans insist on supporting what these angry contributors call "amnesty" for illegal aliens. "Everyone donor in 50 states we reached has been angry, especially in the last month and a half, and for 99 percent of them immigration is the No. 1 issue," said the former employee.

Instead of simply losing a dollar, let 'em see the money used to move in 16 people out of the shadows and across from their house. Hey, they should be all for it given the talking points they trow around.
I got a call two days ago to renew my Repub membership. Told the girl I was past angry about this amnesty bill and the Senate and President’s position. Told her I would contribute to my two AL senators who both oppose it and my Rep. who also opposes it, but would not give any more money to a national Repub orgn because it might be used to try to reelect people I could not support.
Hey—I really, really mean it. They can lose my phone number.

LOL!
LOL..Time for a new keyboard.
So shall it be!!
So let ot be written.
So let it be done!
“All the mail from RNC has been going in the trash here for over two years. They dont get it - dont understand that the Republican Party has become too liberal.”
I don’t throw them in the trash. I take a marker pen and write a note on the donation requests and return them. Have sent back four so far with a note about only supporting REAL CONSERVATIVES and how we don’t want a dime of our money going to any RINO’s!
You know that RINO Bush will not care one whit! He is doing his best to drive a stake into the heart of the Republican party.
Never another penny, nor an ounce of energy for a Bush anywhere near the WH!
ot = it ...inferior made in China readers.
I hope they call me. I really do.
What a RINO is George W!
Yep, I’m one of these donors. In fact, I just refused giving money two weeks ago for this reason. I totally dislike presumption and arrogance regardless of party affiliation. President Bush, you’ve attacked your supporters and snuggled with our opponents who look to criminalize those you count on. Time to figure out who you want to be with in a foxhole.
I hope that many FReepers pick up on this and let the RNC know how the base feels.
I am changing my voter registration from “Republican” to “Independent” and from now on I am going to vote against all incumbants no matter what their party.
Bush and Republican Congresscritters have no idea the repercussions of their attempted sell out of America.
I have never felt so betrayed and abandoned.
I have been a registered republican since 1966....and have voted straight republican in all elections, including state, local and federal....
This amnesty issue is the straw that has broken my back...I cannot with clear conscience continue to support politicians who could care less about the American Condition.
Dear Mike Duncan,
Sorry, but you fired the wrong people! The RNC members won’t support an organization that doesn’t (read DOES NOT) support them. Support comes in the form of principals, ethics, fiscal responsiblity, and law enforcement (read illegal aliens).
Of course the RNC has failed to gain my support as you simply expected me to follow the “comrade” line. Even your surveys don’t give me room enough to tell you that you are FAILING to support the Republican Party, let alone any semblence of the American People.
Fire the Congress Critters! Oh wait...that is what my lack of a donation means! They’ve been FIRED!
PS> Add me to your DO NOT CALL LIST.
I’ve told them that A- I have no disposable money to give, and B- If I did, I would wait until the 1,951 miles of border fence is in place. Get busy.
Hey, I got a call from someplace like that a couple of years ago. I’m still angry because the girl told me I was wrong and argued relentlessly with me. I told her to move out of the sticks to Phoenix so she could find out the truth. I finally hung up when she decided to put her manager on the line. For some reason she had a rule that she could not disconnect first. Geez, I need a smoke and I stopped ten years ago...
Personally, I think he would be perfectly comfortable with Bill Clinton or Ted Kennedy.
But not Laura! She is a true individual, the type the Founders intended, and the soldiers gave their lives for.
I guess Jorge is hoping that pesos will soon start flowing into GOP coffers, ‘cause it ain’t going to come from the base.
Well, it's just a thought.
