There has been a sharp decline in contributions from RNC phone solicitations, another fired staffer said, reporting that many former donors flatly refuse to give more money to the national party if Mr. Bush and the Senate Republicans insist on supporting what these angry contributors call "amnesty" for illegal aliens. "Everyone donor in 50 states we reached has been angry, especially in the last month and a half, and for 99 percent of them immigration is the No. 1 issue," said the former employee.

I’m afraid not. Apparently not enough of them, or they wouldn’t have put Pelosi, Murtha, Clinton, Reid, etc.. in the leadership. It’s all fine and dandy to threaten the Republicans, and trash-mouth them. The only trouble with that though is that when the hard-case leftist leaders get in there, who is going to listen to all the raving and ranting then? They’re not going to give a *($%#* what all the disgruntled critics of the RNC think! But if it makes them feel better to knock all the Republicans around, then go right ahead.
If the hard-left succeeds in taking over the rest of the government, it won’t matter anymore whether we all punish the Republicans or not. There won’t be a Republican party, or a Libertarian Party, or a Constitution Party, etc...! So it won’t matter anymore, will it!
Reasonable people can look at the bill, and not like it. But they should at least look at it, and discuss it, shouldn’t they? We are all adults, aren’t we? They can scold the President, and disagree with him, without getting nasty and mean, and calling him a traitor, can’t they?
The President is a human being, and can get crabby at times like anyone else, can’t he? Doesn’t he have a right to his opinion on things just like any other American? Yeah, I’m afraid at times he sticks his feet in his mouth, and says things that tick people off. But he has done much to please these people in the past. A lot of them seem to have forgotten all about that. He took a lot of nastiness, and insults from the other side for it too! Maybe he gets a little sick of it. Then people from his own side dump on him , and threaten impeachment. I’d like to think of what they all would do if they could walk in his shoes.
If they could succeed in impeaching and removing him, who do they think would take over? Well, there is our VP. But what happens if they impeach them at the same time? Who will fill that vacuum, hmm? I think some people better think of that, and think quick! Because the third person in line is Nancy Pelosi.
In case many haven’t noticed, a lot of our finest senators and congresspeople were “fired” last fall. So the people above got in. That’s right! A lot of people were put out who would have snuffed out the bad parts of the bill in its cradle.
So there has to be some compromise, whether we like it or not. Yes, even Ronald Reagan had to compromise at times. (holding his nose while he did it)But he was a reasonable adult, and did what he had to do in order to get some things he wanted done. That’s the very nature of the job Presidents and Congresspersons have to do, isn’t it?
Just say NO to Amnesty!! Before its too late!!

Yeah, if people take the time and spend money to contact their senators or congressmen, it makes them think ‘maybe their will be consequences’-which there will...I’m telling you Chambliss and Isakson are toast in GA if they support this bill.
Now you are talking...there are too many lawyers!
“I give no more to RNC, they want me pay income tax!” Juan Valdez
Now they’re losing supporters on BOTH ends! LOL.......
Naw, I send them back to the RNC using their pre-paid postage. But first I take a large red marker and write my list of demands on the donor “card”;
1) Close the damn border
2) Arrest the employers of illegals
3) Deport any illegals you can catch
4) Stop giving “citizenship” to illegals anchor kids
5) Read the GD Constitution
I even sent one of those “Gringo de Mexico” bills back to them.
Surprisingly, the mail from the RNC has dropped off considerably after the fourth one went back like that.
Like any other company, you’ve hit them where it hurts the most. And that almost always gets their attention.
Cheers,
SZ
I don’t think so...I will not vote for Chambliss or Isakson. Nothing will change my mind. I have vote straight Repub for years-now I think why bother.
I hate to say it, but a Democrat would never have tried to get this Amnesty bill through...they would never commit political suicide for anything. They might want to do it, but they wouldn’t
The Republicans have contempt for their base. I think they believe we will vote for them because there is no one else to vote for. The Repubs think we are stupid, and we will forget. in a year or two. They are so wrong.
Why we could call it the Amero, yeah that’s it the Amero.
I have two daughters. They are both very pretty. The 15 year old can not walk anywhere without being harrassed by these illegal men. She is not allowed to go to Walmart anymore. I myself-a respectable Mom was subject to crude advances by some drunken guy (don’t know where he was from, but he spoke Spanish). We live in a very nice neighborhood. My 10 year old is just starting to develop-she is self-conscious about it. These savages actually make comments to her. She was very frightened. I called the police the last time. I consider it a form of molestation.
The new ‘amnesty laws’ will never be enforced. Once, these people are legal. It’s over-no fence no nothing. These sort of amnesty deals where large numbers of people are granted legal status only encourage more illegals to come. If they were serious, the pols would have closed the borders and then crafted some kind of legislation to deal with those who are already here.
The biggest mistake Reagan made was signing the amnesty bill in 1986. I think when all was said and done. There were 6 million granted amnesty. This was the last time our immigration laws were enforced. Now we have at least 20 million more. If this bill goes through, the floodgates will open.
Also, I am having trouble telling the difference between Republican and hard left. Repubs are for (Senate) hate crime legislation that protects gays (lots of Baptist preachers goin to do time if this goes through), Bush wants to give billions for Aid research in Africa, Bush want to act on global warming, Our tax cuts are just about history, Bush want an amnesty bill and more H1 workers. Certainly, if we let in these people we will end up with socialized medicine. There will be millions of them who now have ‘rights’. Social Security will go bust and so taxpayers will be paying for this stuff after getting huge tax increases. Tell me how the Dems are worse than what we have?
Many Republican leaders have contempt for their base, and it’s an important point to make. But many don’t have such contempt. They agree with us and fight for us. Let’s be fair.
Also, I don’t like the reference to “the Republicans.” That would include just about everyone on FReep. Don’t let the tuned-out party elite define the party, and don’t punish all, or most, Republican officeholders just because of some jerks in the White House, in the Senate, and at the RNC.
I am so sorry ma'am that this happens to you as well.
I frankly am at a loss these days as to what to do. To even speak of the horrific treatment my 2 daughters get from Illegals at WalMart or any other venue is akin to "racism" to some. It is not racist - and I am not speaking out against Hispanics. I am speaking out against a group of thugs who have broken into our nation, drive while intoxicated, and treat our children as rape prospects.
Our "justice" system is a joke. The government spends millions (upon millions) to go after white collar criminals even after they have cooperated and who pose no threat to our safety, but refuse to lock up dangerous illegals because they know they have failed and there are "too many of them to do anything at this point." A US Marshall told me this.
God help us.
Your words are true. My daughters friends that live out by Allatoon (lake) are not even allowed to walk to the lake. Many of the smaller houses have 10 or 20 illegal men living there. The parents are afraid (rightfully) that they will grab the girls. It is a shame when citizens of this country have to lock up their daughters to protect them against foreign criminals that our governement protects and seems determined to give them more rights then the native born.
I will pay for my children’s college. I won’t receive tuition assistance as will the children of illegals-some system.
The special interestsand thier public lackeys driving this agenda are no friend of the Republic...
Steve Previs, a vice president at Jefferies International Ltd., explained the Amero "is the proposed new currency for the North American Community which is being developed right now between Canada, the U.S. and Mexico."
Another missive, another appeal for money from the RNC. This is the second one in three weeks.
This time the appeal is enswathed in the name of Laura Bush. She wants us to join her in celebrating George's upcoming birthday.
There's even a glossy birthday card enclosed so that the well-wisher can sign his name or compose a sentiment.
Since he's going to be 61 years old, Mrs. Bush is asking for $61 which will represent warm birthday wishes from the donor.
Cool!
While I admire Laura very much, this packet of assorted messages including scare-talk is a real let-down to me.
If the appeal for my moolah said that the Prez is changing his mind on amnesty, by golly, I'd send $610 and send it back to the RNC, personal attention "Methuselah".
Instead, the envelope will be devoid of money, but laden with my usual scrawled amnesty darts. It will be sent back to the RNC office, personal attention "Martinez".
Being somewhat of a softie, this time I'm affixing my own postage stamp out of respect for the First Lady.

And as I infer from the recent book “The Crusader” abut President Reagan, Senator Kennedy of Massachusetts might very well be guilty of treason for his communications with the Soviet dictatorship in the 1980s in an attemtp to undercut Reagan and his policies. So Kennedy is just continuing his Communist ways.
