Ann Coulter: A Green Card in Every Pot
Human Events ^ | 30 may 07 | Ann Coulter

Americans -- at least really stupid Americans like George Bush -- believe the natural state of the world is to have individual self-determination, human rights, the rule of law and a robust democratic economy. On this view, most of the existing world and almost all of world history is a freakish aberration.

In fact, the natural state of the world is Darfur. The freakish aberration is America and the rest of the Anglo-Saxon world.

The British Empire once spread the culture of prosperity around the globe -- Judeo-Christian values, tolerance, equality, private property and the rule of law. All recipients of the British Empire's largesse benefited, but the empire's most successful colony was the United States.

All this talk about there is just a job surplus at the bottom scale is BS. When was the last time you been in a hospital. Most of the nurses and a lot of the doctors can’t speak english.

Why import millions upon millions of mexicans to rape, rob and kill his own people?

The pathetic truth is that there are freepers who will put you down or mock you for even suggesting that some Americans are paying the price in blood for letting these interlopers in.

We should ask the film maker Adrienne Shelley....but we can't becasuse she's dead, beaten to death by an illegal because she complained about the noise he was making and he was afraid that she'd report him.

But what the hey? Who cares how many victims there are as long as some among us can make a buck from the invaders?

Come brother - go get her. I will act as a reference.

That produces quite the quandary....

If I break my vow to be faithful to my wife, doesn't that degrade my conservative status to being more like a liberal?

Plus, my wife knows how to shoot, and she aint afraid to prove it.

At this point in my life, I would be in heaven just to sit down with Ann and have a conversation about the state of America. Of course, I would have to have my wife by my side so that I wouldn't get too stupid. I'd probably get all tongue tied like when I was a teenager, but it would be worth it.

No, the job surplus isn’t “only” at the bottom of the scale, but that’s where the big numbers are.

WRT doctors and nurses in particular, there’s a *whole different* issue specific to them that IMHO is not getting nearly enough attention. There’s a definite shortage developing for doctors and nurses, and it’s not about immigration. It’s been developing for years and it’s about medicare, malpractice insurance and a host of other things killing off our medical system. It’s a little off-topic, but it needs to start getting attention.

Ok - I think the trade is fair.

Your life for a conversation with Ann Coulter.

Then - a few minutes of solitude to enjoy as you see fit.

Oh, thanks, for being so generous with my life! Haha.

Which do you want video of? My wife adjusting me, or the conversation with Ann? They both might be pretty funny come to think about it. 8^)

Since everyone wants their children to be good yuppies and go to college and avoid manual labor and service jobs, those jobs are going to the illegals.

Maybe in your family. My children worked hard jobs AND went to college. Tired of the lazy American children mantra.

We are at full employment definitionally with under 5% unemployment. Every American who wants a job can get one. Some non-skilled labor and a fair amount of construction and tradesmen work IS going to Hispanic immigrants, legal and illegal, but if there were Americans wanting to do this work, willing to work hard and put in an honest day’s work, they’d get the nod over immigrants (legal and illegal) every time. The fact is, too many of us have grown fat and happy with how easy life is here, some of us to the point that we didn’t try hard in school and make the most of the opportunities presented to us. Now some, challenged by immigrants’ willingness to do that work, even for less pay, don’t like it. There is no excuse, even with illegal immigrants here, for anyone not to succeed in America. Of course it would have been easier if there were more people with a real work ethic and resolute determination to get ahead. It is hard to blame uneducated non-English speaking immigrants for coming here and beating natives on their home field.

That said, our porous borders are a danger to everyone here. They MUST be closed. Those here illegally should be sent back or heavily punished for their lawbreaking. Let them come back under a guest worker program legally. Cut out welfare and other entitlements for non-citizens (oh yeah, and cut out voting too). The truly industrious ones will stay, and we can always use more hard workers to help pull wagon that many American citizens seem to want to ride in.

I recognize people are coming to America to work.

Yep, the Mexican transporting weed hidden between candy in his semi yesterday in Minnesota was workin' pretty hard.

Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.

The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.

Winston Churchill

great quote

Good line, well put.
