Americans -- at least really stupid Americans like George Bush -- believe the natural state of the world is to have individual self-determination, human rights, the rule of law and a robust democratic economy. On this view, most of the existing world and almost all of world history is a freakish aberration.
In fact, the natural state of the world is Darfur. The freakish aberration is America and the rest of the Anglo-Saxon world.
The British Empire once spread the culture of prosperity around the globe -- Judeo-Christian values, tolerance, equality, private property and the rule of law. All recipients of the British Empire's largesse benefited, but the empire's most successful colony was the United States.

“Illegals are the ‘servant class’ that has no power to bargain.”
What exactly do you think the fiasco in MacArthur Part, LA was?
Who do you think originated the AMNESTY BILL ?
The illegal alien group, La Raza, was in on the writing of the provisions.....
Hey, glad you’re back. I enjoy your posts.
“The TRUTH is that illegals will do job Americans won’t FOR THE MEASLY WAGES PAID ILLEGALS”
the illegal alien construction workers dont make measly wages
Thanks!
Privatize the profits and socialize the costs.
Sounds like what Baseball owners do with public financed stadiums.
Wonder where he learned that?
You're going "much" to far.
Once we go down that road every American
in the USA would be vulnerable to the same DNA laws. Privacy is also part
of that issue.
The Dems would have us all give up freedoms for the Clinton (Socialist) doctrine.

“Even with the amazing greatness that America has earned over the centuries with the attributes that Coulter mentioned, has much of the world followed our example? Of course they haven’t, and there is your proof that it’s not a “natural state”. That is how I read it.”
Yeah, I don’t think there’s any other way TO read it. Her language is pretty plain. Of course it’s not human nature for everyone just to smile and get along, like proponents of this immigration bill would have us believe.
Some say that is what went down in Iraq. I remember reading that Congress wanted the costs of the Iraq war recouped from the Iraq oil revenues so the American taxpayer wouldn’t be stuck with the costs. Bush said he would veto any bill that required that oil revenues go into the U.S. treasury. Why?
“Privatize the profits and socialize the costs.”
Halliburton and the oil companies got the contracts and the profits and the U.S. taxpayer got to pick-up the costs. If the Iraqi oil revenues had been federalized to repay the U.S. treasury, theft of the oil revenues would likely both have been audited and would have been a federal crime - making them dangerous to thieves. This is the cynical viewpoint.
I believe that the oil revenues should have been used to pay back the treasury for the Iraq war - but then I’m not a politician who wants to pay back his corporate supporters by sticking the American taxpayer with the costs of the Iraq war. After Harriet Myers, Dubai ports, and the Amnesty blitz, I’m willing to believe Bush is capable of anything.

“I about drove off the road today when I heard President Bush say hes sending 30 million to Africa for aids prevention. My god, what is happening to the Republican party??”
This isn’t the first time Bush has done this. He thinks that American taxes are just a big pot of gold from which he can dispense his largesse for the “compassionate” part of his alleged conservatism, and I do mean alleged. He has poured millions of our taxpayers’ dollars down that rathole in Africa, most of which ends up in the hands of the despotic leaders of those countries, because of what he sees as the “moral” thing to do.
Same moral superiority that rules his position on illegal immigrants. It’s the “moral” thing to do to keep those poor hardworking illegals in our country to feed off our welfare and education systems. In this he agrees w/the Catholic Bishops; Cardinal Mahoney of LA comes to mind. Of course, this do-gooder instinct of his does not take into account the do-badder effect on his own country’s citizens. In this one could say that Bush is a rotten combination of the immoral industrialist who wants cheap labor at the expense of his own country’s working force, and the worst of the Dems instinct to benefit those that contribute a lot less than they suck up in social welfare, at the expense of the hardworking taxpayer. Bush sucks.
There are a many parts to this website that are downright unfriendly to GWB supporters these days. It makes me sick and sad. There are some parts, don’t get me wrong, that are still pleasant to read. It’s not the owner’s fault, I still like some of it. But so much of it has been taken over by a large number of mean, childish, and really rude people.
I can see where people can disagree about him on some things, and that’s fine. But this sudden hateful attitude against him is disturbing and saddening. You knew what to expect from some who never supported him. But this sudden flood of people who claim they supported him, and now call him a traitor, sell-out, and other nasty things makes me wonder if they ever really supported him at all. Especially puzzling is that one or two issues would suddenly turn them against him so much!
It isn't sudden. I've been talking about how Bush has been doing Mexico's bidding for years.
Especially puzzling is that one or two issues would suddenly turn them against him so much!
Yes, putting the final demographic nails in America's coffin and destroying the Republican party are just a couple minor things. And this immigration BS will destroy what's left of America. I hope you like corrupt socialist governments because that's what you will get when we import millions of people from countries where that is the norm and make absolutely no effort to acculturate or assimilate them. Demographics are destiny. But, at least Bush doesn't have a D next to his name! That would be terrible.
BUMP for a full posting on an unnecessarily-excerpted article! :-)
The sooner everybody stops harping about Mexicans the sooner we can get back to attacking the real threats, Hillary Clinton and high taxes.
BUMP
Oh well...thanks for pointing our my error.
