There are jobs in Houston, that said they should cut off all benefits to them. It will be the first time for many that they have had to stand on their own two feet.

She failed the test to get a job cleaning airplanes.Well, to be fair, that really is a demanding test.

People who are unemployed for months at a stretch, while the taxpayer pays their bills, are frauds. McDonalds are everywhere, and most of them are usually hiring. Unemployed people who turn their noses up at McDonalds are snobs as well as bums.

“Many Katrina evacuees are still jobless”
Lazy bastids. If illegals can get jobs, why can’t these people? Oh yeah, our tax dollars allow them to be lazy.
If I lost this job, I could get another one Monday, in any city I choose. We make our own luck, I guess.

How many had jobs before Katrina???

Even before the storm, many were desperately poor, unemployed and on welfare or food stamps. In other words, they were bums before they decided to be worthless.

A man in NO could have worked 24 hours a day if he wanted to. Probably still can. I don’t get it.

Even before the storm, many were desperately poor, unemployed and on welfare or food stamps. This says it all.
To: TornadoAlley3
This was the case *BEFORE* the storm also. That is why they were ‘stranded’ in the city after the hurricane. No one wanted a permanent welfare problem.

When the Katrina funds ended they held a forum in Dallas to help those still receiving money to transition.
The vocal members of the audience wanted to know why the government had not yet found them jobs and permanant homes. There was no denying the fact they felt no responsibility for doing any of these things themselves.
