It wasn't Miss USA's night.
Booed mercilessly at the Miss Universe pageant by a Mexican audience angry at U.S. immigration policy, and seen by millions of TV viewers as she slipped and fell on the pageant stage, Miss USA Rachel Smith nonetheless managed to take the high road and offer her Spanish-speaking hosts an enthusiastic, "Buenas noches Mexico. Muchas gracias!"
Smith, 22, from Clarksville, Tenn., who was crowned Miss USA last March, was continuously jeered by the mostly Mexican audience during the pageant's interview phase.
The pageant was won by Miss Japan, Riyo Mori, a 20-year-old dancer, marking only the second time her country has won the world beauty title.
Miss USA finished fifth.
Pageant owner Donald Trump downplayed the booing, saying it was aimed at American policies and not Smith.
"We believe it wasn't Rachel being booed but the USA and some of our policies as a country," pageant spokeswoman Lark-Marie Anton told FOXNews.com. "The booing was unfortunate, but Rachel represented the USA with style and grace. She was extremely dignified.
Asked whether the Mexican audience reaction would affect the pageant's return there, Anton said: "The Universe pageant traditionally goes to different countries yearly, so we wouldn't have the pageant in Mexico next year. Mr. Trump also mentioned in last night's press conference the possibility of Japan as a host country for next year."
She added that it would be "drastic" to never have the show in Mexico again because of Monday night's crowd reaction.

For the Mexicans George Bush's Shamnesty program doesn't go far enough. THEY WANT OPEN BORDERS!!!!
Take a look at La Raza or any other Latino internet web site, and they spell out what their goals are. Unbelievable goals.
Bush will give them an automatic path to citizenship, a small fine and they still hate him.
Bush is MY President, not theirs, but he is not working for me..Secure the Border, give up on the amnesty or CIR, and send ICE out to do their job...pronto.

I suppose watching someone fall is hilarious . . . depending on your S-M level.
But watching her booed by a stadium full of people who want to take over our country was far from hilarious.
And I guess what actually transpired falls under the category of ironic: the winner came from the country who gave us Pearl Harbor and the most savage and inhumane examples of barbarism in World War II - Japan.

Go ask the U.S. Men’s Soccer team how they are treated on visits to Mexico and other Central American countries. Words and jeers are nothing.. They are pelted with batteries and bags of urine.

I live in Mexico City and watched the pageant with my girlfriend who is mexican;
she thinks it’s perfectly okay to express your feelings about a country in this way.
Wow; I think it’s disgusting and counter-productive to their “cause”.
Everyone in the U.S. who watched that display of rudeness must be feeling a little less charitable towards the mexican illegals right now.
Why would any country want to reward foreigner-criminals who hate not only the country but even the country’s innocent representatives like Miss U.S.A. and the american athletes?? !!!!!

This can’t be said enough for these ungrateful illegals (and those in Mexico who send their family members to the US for a better life). For the most part, they do not love our country. They do not want to integrate.

There was an article about trash and Mexicans some time back on FR. For some reason they just drop trash where ever happen to be. Sad.
They have some customs there I was not expecting. One of them was if you go to another persons house, you are to bring your own toilet paper.
