Jordin was on Fox & Friends this morning with Brian Kilmeade, who was asking her questions from viewers' emails. She was asked about a ring she wears on her wedding ring finger (she's 17 years old). She said, without hesitation, that it was her Purity Ring, and that it says she waiting until she is married, and saving herself for true love. To another email, she said she has no intention of being another bad girl ("I love my hair, I won't be shaving it off.")

Now I know how to account for Jordan’s size. A purity ring? I like her even more.

For those of us who don't watch American Idol, this is encouraging because this young girl's fans are even younger than her, and to young girls: image is everything.

Interesting to know, though not as surprising as I might've thought not long ago. I'm learning that a good number of players/people in the NFL are actually pretty conservative. (not counting the Raiders or the Bengals, haha).

Doesn’t a purity ring put her at high risks of getting AIDS and other STD’s. That is what the teacher unions would have us believe.

Her father, due to his circumstances, was able to marry a tall(er than average), beautiful white woman and the result is that Jordin has highly desirable traits to a future mate. A great example of natural selection. Good for her.

good for her. I’m not an Idol fan but am happy for her.
Her father should be able to guide her in keeping a good head on her shoulders despite the new fame.

Wow...abstinence, what a novel idea! Congratulations Jordin, on your participation in the Culture of Love as opposed to the Culture of Things where people become objects to be used and parents become a hindrance to their children. You are an inspiration and role model for so many!

It is nice to see Jordin is remaining humble and I hope she can keep that up. That was the biggest downfall of last years runnerup. You could tell she was PO’d she did not win, which probably has held back her popularity.

Isn’t this a subtle dig at Britney Spears ?
Speaking of Britney...

Britney Spears Booed for Lip-Syncing - Again!
Britney Spears was devastated on Saturday night when her lack of talent was exposed to an audience full of dedicated fans. The 25 year old pop star had technically difficulties when the CD she was lip-syncing to started skipping during her performance at the House of Blues in Florida.
According to sources from TMZ.com, “It was an ugly scene”. They go on to say that “the crowd started jeering and heckling her. Britney looked absolutely devastated. When the CD started skipping during the song Do Somethin’, Britney hid her face and turned her back. Then, when it resolved itself, she turned around with this look on her face like she was going to puke.”
This is not the first time Brit has been accused of (and caught) lip-syncing her performances. In the early stages of her career she was attacked by the media after apparently lip-syncing her performances on shows like ‘Rosie O’Donnell’.
Spears isn’t the only superstar whose lack of true talent has been tested. In fact, Ashlee Simpson was devastated when she was caught mouthing the words to a song she was performing on ‘Saturday Night Live’ in 2004. Britney’s idol, Madonna, has also been accused of lip-syncing from time to time.
Everybody has known for a while that Britney is not a vocal superstar like Whitney Houston. Her fans go to the concerts for her incredible, high energy performances. But it seems like even her most dedicated of fans are through paying so much money for a half-ass performance.

There is no doubt that Jordin is a pro-lifer.
She had a picture of herself at MySpace standing next to a sign that says, "Stop Abortion Now."

When you sign a contract with a bonus of $4 million and receive a check for $1.8 million once all the taxes have been taken out, it tends to make you a conservative in about 45 seconds.

Could you explain what you mean by your comment? I don’t understand what you’re saying and I don’t want to jump to conclusions about what you’ve posted.
