Al Gore and John McCain seem to agree. Maybe they should run on the "Insane Green" ticket

Not at all surprising to find that Algore Jr. is as much a fascist apparatchik as his old man, Algore Sr.

Well-put by Mr. Tracinski. I'd be shocked by the lengths the leftist Revolutionary Elite wants to go to control political thought.
However, I was a Political Science major, and this stuff is old hat to anyone who's spoken to a liberal arts professor.

This "manipulation" is rendering our representative government "illegitimate" because it only has the public's "consent"--he repeatedly puts "consent" in scare quotes, just to emphasize the point that this consent is not, in Al Gore's superior judgment, genuine or legitimate. As he puts it, "the 'consent of the governed' [has become] a commodity to be purchased by the highest bidder." The voting public always has been manipulated to a certain degree. Candidates pay good money to shape their image in the public eye
That's the price a free and open society pays during an election cycle.
The American public "bought" a Clinton administration twice in spite of Gore as his wooden side kick.
Gore seems to forget that.
So the American public isn't manipulated if they vote for a democrat and are being bought when they vote for a repubican?
Makes perfect sense to me

I think Gore is borderline psychotic. Anyone who would suggest that the Democrats don’t have legions of friends in the national media, don’t use carefully-crafted media campaigns to win elections, and that somehow Fox news and Rush Limbaugh are controlling the national debate, has lost touch with reality.

Great article and from Yahoo!
Take the time to visit Yahoo and vote this one up. They need all the encouragement they can get to run conservative articles.
