With news accounts that Pelosi & Reid are retreating in their withdraw-retreat Iraq push - at least for the moment - the pro-troop group, Move America Forward, is stepping up the pressure. Move America Forward has officially released their latest ad which takes on Reid & Pelosi for their shameful behavior in recent weeks.
The new ad has been posted online at YouTube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AF_frpUoMIg
Move America Forward has just launched a fundraising drive to pay for the airtime for this ad to be seen on national TV networks and on local network affiliates in Nevada and also in San Francisco (where Reid and Pelosi are from).
More information on the ad campaign will be available at: www.MoveAmericaForward.org
If you are a 501c3 non-profit it wouldn’t be appropriate to run ads for the purposes of electing or defeating a candidate :)
Very nice! bump
Excellent news.
So you don’t mention the candidate in the ad. Pelosi and Reid aren’t on the ballot in these states. Trash them, and make damned sure people know that they’re Rats and that the Rats support them. Politics is about finding ways to make things happen, not making excuses for not acting. Conservatives need to learn this. Our passivity is our biggest problem, and damned near every one of us (myself included) is sometimes guilty of this.
GREAT AD. Short, but full of the right words. Hits hard.
This will further drive the left crazy. Melanie has been banned from PBS because they claimed she was rude to another guest.
I wouldn’t even call it an attack, all we are doing is telling the people the truth about these cowards. The media thinks they can control the conversation by not airing the truth about these actors.
You are exactly right about the public opinion. The MSM begins the chant and non-thinking public repeats their lies.

This is a terrible ad. Not once does it label Reid or Pelosi a Democrat. Nor does it mention the antics that the RATS have played with funding for our military.
Your point is well taken, but the ad will not be effective anywhere until Reid and Pelosi are lumped with other Democrats.
Not 2% of the population knows who Reid or Pelosi are, let alone their political affiliation.
They went bonkers after the bug chewing episode!!
.
LOL!
BUMP!
Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid chose on their own accord to initiate these policies regarding Iraq, and MAF can point this out and explain why it's bad. But as for the POLITICAL ramifications of their actions, the GOP needs to address this themselves.
Fabulous ad and great pic, dead!! LOL!!!!
Thanks for the ping!
The number is much higher, but not nearly high enough. You’re right that conservatives and the party have much more work to do along these lines. If there weren’t so much at stake, it would crack me up to read conservative “political analyses” that talk about how the American people are about to see the extremism, hypocrisy, incompetence, of the congressional Dems and will probably punish them in ‘08. Dream on, guys. Politics unfortunately isn’t that simple, or that well-informed. It can happen, but we’ll need to make it happen.
I wasn’t really talking about this particular ad - my point is that now, not 2 months before an election, is when people soak in information and adopt their opinions.
I’m sure plenty of research has been done to counter this theory . . . I just think the argument is stronger in a vacuum than in a loud concert hall.
Republicans are wrong when they say it’s pointless to campaign until late in the season. (That’s partially a subconscious rationalization for inaction.) What happens in the months, and the year or two, before the election shapes the way in which voters see the election. That’s why it’s so important to campaign now. The campaign is permanent, not some neat thing that begins on Labor Day every other year.
