McCain Praises Sen. Graham, Defends Immigration Bill
Campaigns & Elections Magazine ^ | May 23, 2007 | John Boyanoski

Republican presidential candidate John McCain came to the defense of one of his biggest allies Wednesday over the pending immigration vote in the U.S. Senate.

U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., has come under fire in the last week for his defense of an immigration compromise that provides amnesty for illegal aliens. It reached a peak when he was booed during the state Republican convention Saturday in Columbia. “I always think it is unfair when I hear Lindsey Graham is criticized,” McCain, R-Ariz., said during a conference call Wednesday.

Graham has been an ardent campaigner for McCain in South Carolina – appearing for his fellow senator at debates and straw polls in the last few months. Graham also supported McCain in 2000.

In return, McCain said he was proud of Graham Wednesday. However, McCain said he can understand why many Republicans and other citizens are skeptical about the proposed plan because past bills have not done what was promised. “We have to show them this is a workable, doable proposal,” McCain said.

AMERICA... YOUR RIGHTEOUS ANGER IS TIPPING THE SCALE!!!

We have been fighting the amnesty proposal as if the future of our country depends on our efforts... because it does. As working, voting, law-abiding, thinking Americans, we can only come to one conclusion: that those who support the Senate bill have chosen to intentionally ignore the will of the people, and have put their own political ambitions ahead of what is good for the United States of America. This agenda is unacceptable, and we have rejected it utterly. Moreover, it constitutes a direct threat to the future of this republic, because it indicates that there are members of the body politic who no longer answer to the will of the people, the Constitution, or even to rational thought itself.

Keep the pressure on, because the Senate is hoping this will all just go away if they wait long enough. Write, call, email, and fax your representatives... and DO NOT STOP. If you are unable to reach your Congressional or Senate rep, try the office of El Presidente. Contact your local and state party representatives, and the Republican and Democrat National Committees. Keep building the tidal wave that we need to KILL THIS BILL!

McQueeg, aka, McInsane is old, unstable, maybe sick, and, oh, I’ll just say it — NUTS!! No way should he POTUS!! However, I think he will have a Dr. Dean moment before the primaries and go ballistic for all to see, thereby ending his run. (I hope!)

Obviously not a Republican if he supports amnesty.

Looks like the Jet Ace, Admiral McLame, has crashed again. This time he’s totalled the Straight Talk Express. Enjoy your retirement Senator.

He is neither.
However, he is an out of touch and self congratulating irritating schmuck with a lack of common sense and the inability to discern the difference between what is good or bad for the nation, as opposed to what is good or bad for his career.

His defense of Graham is normal. He needs all of the ass kissing he can get. He considers it to be a replacement for his self immolated run for the Presidency.

“I always think it is unfair when I hear Lindsey Graham is criticized,”

So let me get this straight. Graham must be perfect, because it’s ALWAYS unfair when he’s criticized. I guess I’m stupid.

On another note, how do they propose they are going find these individuals to pay their fines, get them back to Mexico etc..... Enforcement is impossible.

As if Graham weren’t in a deep enough hole, here comes McCain to help him dig. Can get much better than that!

How true. The government can only do one thing well: Screw Gringos. It seems like the system does well doing that.

One can understand McCain’s attraction to a pretty boy like Graham since he is married to a shoplifting drug addict. But please John keep the stroking and foreplay private.

In all fairness, I don't think that Cindy McCain was a shoplifting drug addict. I think that she was a children's-charity-embezzeling drug addict.

But I get your point . . .

Just when McCain was bouncing back, he stoots himself politically. These senators are delusional. terminal beltway disease.

That certainly is a major factor. The Voice of the People in America, is, to use McCain's words, "extracurricular politics" and something to be avoided. If we object we are insulted by Graham, dismissed as being "emotional" by Chambliss.

They say every Senator looks in the mirror and sees a President staring back. I think these guys are shooting higher. They want to be autocrats.

But they have outsmarted themselves. Notice how the 'rats are sitting back quietly, letting the Pubs explain and defend their bill for them, and take the heat? Stupid republicans.

I respectfully disagree with the new immigration bill for the following reasons:

1. I traveled extensively to other countries when I was younger and I would NEVER: a) have traveled without proper documentation [i.e. passport, visas]; b) would never have gone without an English-speaking guide if I didn’t know the language; and c) required a foreign medical system to render medical treatment for no payment [either by my medical insurance or myself].

2. I would never go to another country to accept employment without taking a crash course in the appropriate language of the country in which I was intending to work.

3. I would never expect to immigrate to another country and expect them to support me on their social programs.

4. I worry that we are allowing another disadvantaged class of individuals to enter the U.S. who: a) will be at a severe disadvantage due to lack of education and language skills necessary to live safely and prosperously or defend themselves against unethical and criminal elements already operating in this nation; b) will be forced to work for sub-standard wages or will force employers to pay wages they would have paid to Americans of similar education and skill backgrounds, thus, causing layoffs, requiring us to support yet another underclass of Americans.

5. I believe it is profoundly unfair to those individuals who have waited in line, immigrated legally and passed all the checks and loops the Homeland Security Department has placed in their paths and then allow illegal immigrants to to stay.

6. I don’t believe the federal government will enforce the borders and require the Z-visa holders to return to their countries or that the federal government will round up any of those who are not going to comply. Nothing in my history with their promises — I mean NOTHING — leads me to believe they can do it.

I don’t care WHAT John McCain or Lindsey Graham say, what their personal lives are like, what insults they throw at me, or what they promise.

I love Mexicans. I have no beef with foreigners of any background — just the dishonest, uneducated, and criminal human beings who think that being an American means just showing up. This is a hard-knock country, where you’d better be able to compete and survive, protect yourself and your loved ones and work your ass off. No one is more vulnerable than those who cannot speak English, have no skills, and who think the streets are paved with gold. WRONG!!!

WRITE! WRITE! WRITE! WRITE! TILL YOU RUN OUT OF INK IN YOUR PEN!

Bombard the Democrats as well, especially the ones that ran on an anti immigration plank and the ones in marginal districts who could be vulnerable. keep pounding on them.

STOP AMNESTY NOW!! WE CAN DO IT!!
