Brent Bozell's culture column this week deals with Opie & Anthony's sick XM shock-jock routine about raping Condoleeza Rice (and raping Laura Bush "to death.") You may not be shocked, but Al Sharpton made no attempt to express his outrage at the XM sickos in defense of this black woman, despite how this routine is so much worse than the Don Imus "ho" comment...
Rev. Al Sharpton showed up to debate May 15 on the CNN Headline News program "Showbiz Tonight." But he didn't say a single word against Opie and Anthony or one word in defense of Condi Rice. He insisted that the Imus gaffe was much more offensive...

I wonder what would have been said by Al Sharpton if Condoleeza Rice was a Democrat and not a Republican?
What do you think would have been said by Al Sharpton if Condi Rice Was a Democrat? Anything different?
Slim Shady’s fifteen minutes of fame should have ended the day Tawana Brawley admitted she was somewhat less than forthcoming.
Getting caught up in your own racism is a bear ain’t it.
This is easy: Hillary wasn’t trying to get Opie and Anthony off the air.
He never defended Dr. Rice when she was called Aunt Jemima either. But I’m kinda glad he didn’t.
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/1283377/posts Dr. Condoleeza Rice is Aunt Jemima
He is all for Al Sharpton. Why is it: Blacks
always griping about not getting fair shake..and they
have top echelon Blacks in the White House and not
one Black is out giving Kudos to their own people...
they just exist to put down people like Imus, etc. JK
It just proves he is totally 180 degrees out of step and makes himself more and more irrelevant whether he speaks out or shuts up. For someone who professes to be a Christian he sure acts the opposite. It shouldn’t matter what a person’s politics or beliefs are. If the remarks are offensive there should be objections raised. In his case he utters the same racially offensive epitaphs and it’s ok but let someone else do it and he wants blood. In the case of Condeleeza Rice he feels she is free game because she thinks for herself. She doesn’t let the Jesse Jacksons and Al Sharptons of the world do her thinking for her and he can’t stand it so she’s fair game. Talk about being a hypocrit. In the case of Laura Bush I think his hatred of the President is so deep he lets them have a free pass on that also. I was brought up to address ministers as Reverend or Pastor. But in the case of Jackson and Sharpton their actions make you wonder where they got the title (A Sears catalog) and therefore do not deserve the respect that generally is accorded men of the cloth.
“Blacks are more racist than whites.”
- Larry Elder, “The Ten Things You Can’t Say In America”
I do not understand why the so-called talk/news-media continue to give Sharpton the attention he craves! The guy is a racist and a bigot and is as irrelevant as little Jimmy Carter in the arena of ideas. Hannity, Beck, and O’Reilly are turned off at my house whenever Sharpton is on.
He would have been apoplectic; if only he knew what it meant.
Inaccurate and misleading.
1. It wasn't a routine
2. They didn't say it
3. A homeless BLACK man said it.
Agreed! Whenever, or, wherever he’s on, I just tune him out.
And what would Al Sharpton say if he was human?
Aw come on people, Al has to make a buck too and the cash was not there for him to defend her. Also jessie jackass was also silent due to the lack of a cash offer to defend her.
bump
Ah, but he's wrong - you CAN say that. It's just a matter of how you say it.
"As a white I have an unfair advantage in that I can recommend a person of another race for a promotion without angering co-workers of my own race."
(I actually heard that in a cultural-diversity workshop a few years ago. But note how it implicitly assigns to whites the responsibility of making amends for the racism of non-whites.)
Was he egged on by Opie & Dopie? You may want to reconsider that "inaccurate and misleading" statement of yours. BTW, do you think that Opie & Dopie had no power to cut off what the homeless black man was saying? Do you think that they should have cut him off? BTW, your capitalizing of the word black...trying to imply something? Hmmm? Please respond to this entire post of mine. Thanks.
