Well, you caught me. Though I was fairly certain that mirroring was specific to identical twins, I used the qualifier “more likely” because I was too lazy to look it up in order to state it flatly. But yes (now that I’ve googled it), all mirror twins are identical, but not all identical twins are mirror.
The mirroring occurs when the egg splits relatively late, at about 9-12 days...which flirts with last-call before conjoined twins. Maybe if the two doofuses in this story had missed that deadline, we wouldn’t be reading about their paternity battles.
Or they can make grandma pay.

Cheers!
To be portrayed in a double role in the upcoming movie by Vincent D’Onofrio.
Hmmmm-—guess one of the brothers had it in for the other?
Gives a new meaning to family relations or sibling rivalry.
Lew, in Ks.
That is very intresting. Thanks.
It always sucks to make a typo when criticizing someone else’s spelling- but at least we have the excuse of hurriedly typing on an online forum with an informal format :-). Incidentally, I once received an invitation from a college to visit them to see their “Honer’s Program.” I wasn’t impressed. (Although ironically enough it’s the university that I currently attend!)
Oh, they are real prizes, aren't they?
This one is easy. Make each of them pay half of the child support.
Maybe it is like collecting a matched set or something. I’m just thankful they weren’t octuplets.
Science may one day be able to tell a blood sample from identical twins apart, but I doubt that extends to the child of an identical twin. The mother’s DNA comes into the mix, and would probably mask any variation between the passed on DNA of the potential fathers.
See #58.
