The American people don’t like heroes, and many cannot recognize one when they see him.
::::
The American public LOVES heros. It is the LIBERALS that do not like heros...because that represents power and individuality in the public, something socialists detest and work against. I was not implying that Yeager would run against Clinton — just comparing the caliber of the two individuals -— night and day, obviously.

And when it becomes obvious to even the media that we are winning in Iraq, Iraq goes from a neagative to a massive positive for those with the spine to seek victory.

How come when some celebrity endorses a dem we get all self righteous. But when a a test pilot endorses one of ours we get moist.

Chuck is a hero, and I respect him greatly. But why should his opinion sway anyone more than, say, Bono.

He's accomplished more than Bono has.

But my point is that they are both accomplished in their fields. Bono is not your run of the mill rock star idiot. He really puts his effort and money where his mouth is. And he gives GW credit where its due.

Chuck is a bonofide hero and expert in his field.

Both are to be respected.

But neither is qualified to tell me which candidate is best.

If we are going to be balanced, we need to be balanced. Or we start looking like the Dems.
