Monday, 1:00 p.m.: Convene and resume consideration of the motion to proceed to S. 1348, the Comprehensive Immigration Legislation.
Isn’t there a vote set for 1/2 hour from now??
Who knows.
I’m so tired of this.
Every person from the state of SC needs to call, email or fax Graham and tell him they really resented his comments about us being racist.
I suspect the WH is strong-arming like crazy right now...
Did you just get here?....?
They've been pleading their case...OUR CASE...since 1PM
Of course we know where he stands.
It will secure our border...
Ummm... Hunter said only two miles have been built in 18 months. Our border guards go to jail and stay there, while the drug dealer gets brought over to testify and set free.
What kind of Biometric ID will they use?
Can you smell the lawsuits yet?
Senator Mark Pryor’s (D.-AR) office told me a few minutes ago that the good senator has no position on the matter. I told the flunky on the phone that he needs to come out strongly opposed to this shamnesty really soon, and that the folks back home were getting sick and tired of the senator voting with Teddy Kennedy.
I think so...that’s why I’m asking, where are all the anti-amnesty, pro borders guys? If they don’t show up...won’t a vote to debate win.
How many Capitol Hill fax machines have worn out this weekend and need to be replaced?
Maybe they can attach an amendment to this bill — pork for new fax machines.
That’s how serious they are about this issue.
Just like it was empty when they were trying to get the troops funded.
Shout with me, babe!
Herndon!
Herndon!
Herndon!
Herndon!
heck, call him even if you aren’t from SC!
Is this really the best we can do?
...that's why I'm worried...very worried
Martinez is pleading Bush's case....he was hand chosen for this.
How many do you think our weary border guards are fighting back from the border right now? (Well, I can’t say fighting... wouldn’t want to go to jail... would they)
They dispensed with the quorum requirement.
I’m shoutin loud as I can Sugar. HERNDON!
Mel Martinez just called them illegal aliens instead of undocumented workers. That was wierd!
A Freudian slip, no doubt.
There are televisions all over the place, and the senators sit in their offices, or meet with people, and listen to the television with one ear cocked in case anything happens. Their staff all have TVs on their desk so they can monitor what’s happening on the floor and get their senator down there if needed. Most of the time, only three or four of them are there. They only descend en masse when there is a vote.
