Had to mute Kennedy. Can’t stand to hear that condascending voice. I just read the transcript at the bottom of the screen. Helps keep my lunch down.

Don’t you just love that “uplifting” language.

Howabout you, Sir Flunked out of life-guard-school, get our border sealed “not because you may,but because you must”.

How about they all come to live in the Kennedy compound.
They can NOT help build the widnmills off the Cape you refused to allow.

actually entered legally, and just overstayed their visas

...making them illegal. Holy cow, do we have morons in Congress?

(no need to answer).

“From what I can tell the main problem is that people are getting around them.”

But you and I don’t friend. Therein lies the problem. If you or I commit a crime, our hind-parts would be thrown into jail faster than we can say God bless America. Illegals commit crimes and IF ICE deports them, they simply come back. In Houston, we have police officers who call in to radio shows (anomymously of course) and tell time and again that city and state police cannot act when illegals commit crimes because it is a federal issue. What happens is that the locals contact ICE and ICE doesn’t do anything. It’s not a matter of people getting around the laws as you say-the laws are not being enforced. If you know anybody on your local police force, or even anyone working at your local DA’s office, ask them if what I’m saying is true.

Kennedy mentions the triggers that must take place....

True, but as soon as this bill is signed into law, those illegals gain status which prohibit them being removed. Whether they every apply for citizenship, they are given status just by this bill becoming law, and that makes this bill amnesty for illegals.

Tony Snow and the White House use the wiggle-word regularized.

No, but he's working on a stern look, knitted eyebrows, and a little chin quivering.

Uh-oh..."We want them to come into the sunshine..." Emma can't be far behind...

Let me get this straight. We have 1800 of miles of border and you’ll give us 200 miles of road blocks. Let me get my pencil out but theres a slight little hole there.

Emailed Feinstein the following:
I know you are committed to voting for this atrocious shamnesty bill before the Senate. Once again the US Congress is selling out the best interests of the American people to please an ever-growing non-citizen class.
I intend to actively fund-raise and campaign against any Senator or Congressperson who votes for this abomination.
You really need to step outside the ivory tower you all live in and look at how this affects those of us American citizens that cannot live behind locked gates and security guards.
Our neighborhoods are overburdened with illegal immigrant families living 3 and 4 families to a dwelling originally intended for single families. They are living in the garages, constructing awning tents alongside property lines in violation of fire and building codes intended to protect our communities. They are overcrowding our classrooms in K through 12 and now receiving instate tuition originally intended for LAW ABIDING CITIZENS! They are overburdening our health care system and emergency rooms are used as their sneeze and sniffle clinics. Illegals are implicated widely in identity fraud cases. All of this and they march in our streets demanding more. What message are we sending the world and our own children? Break the law and we will reward you?
This legislation will have a profoundly negative impact on the very fabric of our lives and the future of our children. I truly wonder just who our REPRESENTATIVES represent? It certainly is not their constituents.
I urge you to vote no on this legislation. No deal on immigration until the border is controlled and secure.... PERIOD.
Persons who have broken the law and stayed in this country illegally should be denied any future chance at US citizenship. We should not reward lawbreakers with the most precious of prizes... US Citizenship. Only those who follow the rules should be given that privilege.

Sessions pointed out when he was talking that the only thing tied to the triggers is the legal immigration provisions, nothing else. All the rest of it happens regardless of whether there are border security provisions in place, and whether they work. In other words, NOTHING changes on the enforcement side.
