OK, except for one thing. I made an assumption about the Oath that, upon checking, found I was not entirely correct. The Congressional Oath does not include the word “Citizens” although it is a safe assumption to make that the duties of the elected representative is to represent the CITIZENS of the district or state which elected them. Illegal aliens are NOT citizens of this nation nor the states where they illegally exist. While my sentiments may be correct, the Oath does not contain the specific language.
A quorum call is just a time user-upper. Any Senator can demand a quorum call, which determines how many senators are on the floor and nothing else. It is used to stretch things out, and to keep the Senate in session when there is no one there. Sessions stopped it because he is a good, decent, guy, and wanted to give the Dems a chance to defend this POS without having to wait the 15 minutes for a quorum call to end.
