Taken from another thread, I thought it might be relevant to the discussion going on here.
It came from MensNewsDaily.Com

The Al Qaeda Most Valuable Player Award Goes Too….

The Al Qaeda Most Valuable Player Award Goes Too….Every single politician in Washington, Democrat and Republican who voted to grant amnesty to over 12 million criminals who have entered the United States illegally. Never am I more nervous, as I am when Democrats and Republicans agree on something. This is one of those times!

IMHO Bush has been too busy doing the people’s business, like it or not, rather than policing the Congressional leaders. He should have done what Clinton did when he took office and clean house. The DOJ is full of Clinton appointees. The lack of punishment for Berger is unbelievable! Also, I saw an issue with the search of Jefferson’s office. Only time will tell if he gets indicted or not.

And who ran against KBH in the the primary last year???She is by far the popular office holder in Texas today. She won with 67% of the vote, while our republican governor barely tallied 1/2 of that.It is no surprise she is supporting this legislation. Most people I have talked are generally in support of it. All voted for KBH last year.

I saw an issue with the search of Jeffersons office

When Hastert sided with Jeffersons right to not have his office searched, that was the
hitch the dems were looking to cinch their rope too. If Hastert would have just
STFU and been a partisan rather than a DC politician, Jefferson might have been in hot soup

Most likely nothing will happen to him now...damn the luck

Bankruptcy is not an option. SS has an unfunded liability of $12.8 trillion. If we shift to personal accounts we can eliminate that future USG liability, but there will be transition costs. The problem with the entitelment programs is that they are on automatic pilot when it comes to increases, which are tied to specific formulae and not on the avialability of funds. The prescription drug program has added a massive amount of new obligations.

Benefits will be cut and taxes increased. I can see means testing being added to the mix. Medicare Part B is already being means tested somewhat with two different premiums depending on income level.

My sister just took a road trip from the Keys up your west coast and was Very impressed with the total ambiance of RedStaters there!

It was mos def the Gore-preferred counties that I would worry about having extra absentee ballots.

As usual, you have provided very interesting and insightful information, kabar. The effect of US immigration policy, regardless of new or future legislation, will soon result in the federal government being rendered largely impotent in this area. America will continue to Balkanize until Uncle Sugar will simply be shouldered aside by leadership at the state, county, etc. level in regions where the will to survive is strong enough. Conditions in the less capable regions will be reflective of those existing in the countries that are now prime sources of illegal immigrants.

Those Americans with the means of producing necessities, on personal or larger scales, will be in the best position to weather the backlash that must certainly come from the activities of socialist and exploitative politicians who are selling the American culture down the river for votes and cheap labor.

There was a time when I believed that the nation, as a whole, was healthy enough to eventually prevent this disaster; but, as many have stated today, how can one have any faith in a political approach that now seeks to remedy the basic failure to enforce law by merely passing more laws? The ridiculous has truly become the sublime.

The difference in the attitude of the people is astounding. North-East rude is a way
of life on the East coast of Florida. Not all but by far most people prefer it over here.

shhh don't let that get around, there are too many moving down here as it is.

“That is one of the things I think “Conservatives” don’t quite grasp. There is a segment of the “Conservative” political Establishment, including some politicians in DC, who simply cannot stand to admit Bush was right and they were wrong about Iraq.
For people like Buckley, Buchanan, Hagel et al, their egos are way more important then what is good for the USA. To admit Bush was right would require them to set aside decades of hate for the Bush family as well as some of their tightly cherished political dogmas. Like most people, they would rather blame the one showing them their errors then admit the errors exist.

It one of the more sorry aspects of US politics is how often things are done because of the egos of the players rather then the best interests of the country.”

Yep, except for Buckley( old age and all that)...

I find myself in agreement with most of what you said.

The only disagreement...in no way is Iraq a “black stain” against his presedency.

Yes the citizenship numbers will be increased to account for these large numbers of people going through the process from Z visa to green card to citizenship.

I haven't searched the entire document but so far I see no mention of green card quota increases.

Again, if you make the claim, you should produce the evidence.

'I believe that granting citizenship or lawful permanent residence status to those who entered our country illegally would only encourage others to break our laws in the future. For these reasons, I opposed amnesty provisions set forth in the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2006. I voted against S. 2611 because I believe that any legislation addressing immigration must first address the safety and security needs of the United States. In a world where terrorists continue to seek to harm Americans, we must protect our citizens. We have every right to know who is in our country, who has crossed our borders, and the purpose and the length of the visit. We are negligent if we do not know these things.'

This is part of the e-mail I got from her office this week.

This isn't treason and bad legislation isn't a crime.

CFR was a crime. The president signed the bill knowing that it was unconstitutional and hoping that the Supreme Court would overturn certain provisions. If he believed the legislation was unconstitutional in any way, he was under a solemn oath to veto it. He didn't.

There's another High Crime and Misdemeanor.

IMPEACH BUSH!
