BS. This is just more of the nonsense made up BS from the rabid Bush haters. The provision for back taxes is IN the bill. This bill is a terrible and should be defeated but the rabid Bush haters do NOT help matters when they manufacture LIES about the bill.
Any provision of ‘difficulty’ will be removed
by activist judges. THAT has been the plan all along.
I’m against this bill, too, but it’s funny how suddenly the Boston Globe is the paper of record when it’s bashing Bush.
How can anyone know for sure that it is or isn't when the bill is still being tampered with in smoky back rooms? Besides, if you think rounding up 12+ million illegals is an impossible task today, wait until you try collecting their taxes after this abomination of legislation becomes law. Dream on.
Where can I read the text to see it?
Confusing the unworthy American people furuther on what BS nonsense is in or out of this BS-give-the-country-away-screw-the-American-citizen bill is part and parcel of the traitors who are jamming it down our throats. We're going to argue about the way the chairs are set up on the Titanic? BTW, how do you know what's in the bill since the rest of us are kept in the dark?
The dropping of the back-tax provision was not made clear in the announcement of the immigration reform proposal on Thursday. Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff, speaking in reference to illegal immigrants seeking legal status, said, "You've got to pay your taxes." He did not state whether he was referring to back taxes, future taxes, or both.White House spokesman Scott Stanzel, asked in a telephone interview yesterday to clarify Chertoff's remark, said it referred only to future taxes.
"It is important that the reformed immigration system is workable and cost efficient," Stanzel said. "Determining the past tax liability would have been very difficult and costly and extremely time consuming."
Oops. The cat's out of the bag...
Have you seen the bill?
Has anyone seen the bill?
I'm inclined to believe the Globe on this, since there's been a lot of talk about the $5,000 fine, and absolutely no talk about back taxes in this amnesty version.
That's a clue.
If true, it's not surprising that Chertoff would object; he's admitting that many of these people (contrary to the "hardworking, taxpaying immigrant" rhetoric) have either been paid under the table, or are using a bogus SS#. Does that mean the IRS will back off the poor unfortunates who've had their identities stolen and are hounded for back taxes on these illegals' income? I woouldn't bet on it. The IRS will forego millions in illegal immigrant back taxes, but they'll hound honest victims of illegal fraud to bankruptcy.
You don’t know what’s in the bill. If you’re saying you know, then you’re either a liar or a Senate Staff lawyer.
Do YOU have a copy?
I'm no Bush hater...but I'm not a happy Bushie these days, either.
Can you substantiate this?
Have you seen the bill?
You know what...you can take that rabid Bush hater garbage and dish it somewhere else. Don't marginalize how people feel...especially when it is BUSH and a big majority of our GOP congresscritters who are turning us into rabid...foaming at the mouth...BUSH haters! Why? Because they keep telling us to bend over and grab hooch. It won't hurt...it ain't conservative...it's not what you elected us for...and we know we are selling you down the river and destroying the party (and we have another RINO lined up for you kool-aid drinkers...so take a swig...if you don't...HILLARY might be elected!).
So...you know what...if Bush has hatred coming from the right it is self inflicted and WELL DESERVED. I voted TWICE for him for governor...and TWICE for president because I believed in him. I didn't move...he did. That is enough to receive my distain.
So you've actually read all 700+ pages of the bill then?
L
I have a feeling you don't really believe the part about "This bill is a terrible and should be defeated..." If you did, it wouldn't be followed by a "...but..." There IS no BUT about it. It's blatantly terrible and even non-rabid Bush haters can agree that he is not only ignoring the will of the people, he is proud of it.
I guess I'll put myself on the list of those who have questioned you and not yet received an answer: Have you seen the bill? If not, how do you know what is or isn't in it?
And you know this? How?
Next, it will be seen as "unfair" that the illegals have to pay any fine, so that provision will be stripped or ignored.
Then, it will be seen as "unfair" that the illegals have to leave the country to apply for citizenship, so that provision will be stripped or ignored.
And then, it will be seen as "unfair" that the illegals have to learn English, so that provision will be stripped or ignored.
And finally, it will be seen as "unfair" that the illegals have no right o vote, so a provision will be added to secure the franchise.
I mean, honestly?
Are you suggesting that the Boston Globe would lie...???
Oh for pete's sake Johnnie, give it a rest. You're about the only one around here who is still looking through rose colored glasses!
I was very much pro Bush, until he sold America/Americans down the river, and now, I'm his worst enemy. You can now call me a "Bush hater" like you call everyone who doesn't look through your rose colored glasses.
He has done more to destroy our sovereignty than any President in history, and his legacy will stink to high hell throughout eternity. Of course, I don't expect you to understand what the rest of us are feeling towards him because you're in denial and that keeps you from seeing the truth!
>This is just more of the nonsense made up BS from the rabid Bush haters.<
When you are joined by the hip, it CAN be somewhat uncomfortable to disagree, right? Just what about this administration’s border policy, and it’s creation of the North American Union do you like, Johnnie?
