Mitt Romney:
"If you want to get something done in Washington you don't end up picking teams, with Republicans on one side, and Democrats on the other... I don't like winners and losers in Washington. I'd rather say 'Let's get together and work together.'"

NO, EV it doesn't. And don't try pulling that guilt trip on me.
Not every candidate I support is as conservative as I am on the issues. Other considerations, such as electability (which obviously if you support Alan Keyes for president is not important to you, LOL!), experience including holding elective office (also obviously if you support Alan Keyes for president is not important to you, LOL!), personal life, and possible consequences of my choice, are also important as is the larger context of the other candidates both Republian and Democrat who are running.
You consider issues and only issues. A faulty, narrow-minded and immature way to approach such an important decision.

Stop it EV, how silly. I didn't use the tank, nor was I in on the decision to post it, it was Rameumptom's choice to use it and he's perfectly free to do so.
I don't lump you in with the poster's who agree with you, don't do it to me. We all post independently.
Most of our legislator's don't trust people with AWB's including Reagan and both Bushes. Romney's hardly alone.
If it bothers you so terribly send and emissary to try and persuade him otherwise. You've got some political contacts.

What you fail to grasp is that where politicians come down on issues is a window into their character, and a sure guide to how they will act in office on any number of things.
Litmus tests work. They point you to the existence or nonexistence of underlying disease.

We all consider issues, EV, and most of us consider them first. But unlike yourself, we are wise and mature enough to understand, there are also other considerations.

To: EternalVigilance
Oh, come now. Do you really think we should all be proud owners of military tanks?

That was the first mention of "tanks" on this thread that I'm aware of.

Regarding issues and their importance, I don't fail to grasp a thing.
Other considerations, like a person's personal life for instance, are also excellent indicators of how a person will behave in office.
EV, you're thick and stubborn, and incapable of seeing all but a tiny fraction of the big picture, and thus, will unfortunately, always remain clueless.
Goodnight.

He posted the tank, and then I commented on it.
Yes, that was highly suspicous behavior on my part. /sarcasm

He didn’t post a tank. He posted a grenade launcher. Sorry you don’t know the difference.
And to think your guy wants to tell us what “scary” weapons we can and can’t have...

>>>You couldnt answer a simple question, even. Just more misdirection. One could say I learned from the best in that area, You. I don't really plan to answer your questions until you answer the one posted to you over a month and a half ago.
Crikets sounding.......
Funny how we can ask questions in an open forum but cannot force others to answer a question.
Why did you post your own piece and try to pass it off as news?
Why do you say the NRA-ILA is full of idiots but the Boston Globe tells the truth?
Why do you start pinging the creator of FR when you are losing on a debate point?
What do you do with the little amount of spare time you have?
How is tearing down Mitt helping promote Alan Keyes?
When are you going to admit you used a "fake but accurate" piece?

Here's a question for you. Is the military liberal or conservative? Because they keep their arms locked down with security you wouldn't believe. You can't even point your gun in the wrong direction. Even our greatest military heroes don't run around town in their tanks. Are police officers liberal or conservative. Most of the ones I know from my days as one believe in the right to bear arms but don't really think WMD's or automatic grenade launchers would be prudent.
I'm curious now. What is your personal experience with weapons. Do you visit the range? Are you a hunter? Any military or civil service with weapons? Why should we trust your position on guns over Sheriff Joe. What is your expertise?
Another question. Who is a better judge of gun rights, the NRA-ILA or EV?

Another question. Who is a better judge of gun rights, the NRA-ILA or EV? Did the liberal former Governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney, your guy, reiterate his support for an "assault weapons" ban in this week's debate?
