I think it is more likely that we are headed to the U.S. portrayed in the movie “Idiocracy”! The President in that reality was the smartest man in America... and he had an IQ in the high 60’s.

19

and

20 - Specifically, they all KNOW that WE know that 19 is the answer and they could absolutely care less. So we throw them out of office. So what, they’ll become college presidents in their states, parlay their blackburys into cushy lobbying positions, and on and on.

Fred Phelps is a Democrat disguising himself as a religious right-wing nutjob.

George W. Bush is a Democrat disguising himself as a “compassionate” conservative.

You have never, ever, stood up in their sorry ass liberal faces and said, “pass all the damned unconstitutional laws you want, and try to make me eat them”! Your “NO” means “maybe”, Hell, you can’t even trust yourself! Lord only knows how low you could stoop, for a few bucks more profit! You may just be lower than the average dumbass DU democrat whitetrash blacktrash retard, they don’t know any better, what is your excuse?

I think Number 1-3, 5-6, 14-15 are the main problems.

p.s. JimRob. There seems to be quite a few anti-conservative trolls on some of these threads.

You’re forgetting that Bush’s choice or Harriet Miers for a SCOTUS nominee was hardly the stuff of conservative wishes. It wasn’t until the conservative base put up a flaming of national proportions that Bush caught a clue.

Conservatives got conservative jurists because conservatives howled, not because it as Bush’s instinct to appoint them.

The majority of the bile directed toward illegals is directed toward Mexicans who have been coming to this country for years. The most recent ones have included criminals and activists who want to change the culture of the country to suit their own preferences, so that has increased the outcry against all of them, even those who only want to make a better life for themselves, and not cause problems for others.

Yes, the laws need to be enforced, and if they had been, the Fort Dix group wouldn't have been able to plot. This is not just the fault of the Republicans in Congress, nor of this President. This has been going on for over 25 years, and won't be solved in the next three or four.

Bush really fails to see the big picture of what we’re facing. The whole “Islam is a religion of peace” thing shows a deep, fundamental lack of understanding or knowledge of Islam and what it really is.

Conservatives don’t protest, don’t scream, don’t fight, don’t ruin things.Their voice is too polite .Conservatives have been screwed for years and we take no boisterous action, that’s the problem.Liberals do all the above, and they get what the want because politicians fear what they will do if they don’t get their way.

But what could be done in those three or four years could be key to solving the problem, IMHO... A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, it's said. What does it say about our current GOP lineup that they don't, as a whole, have the courage even to take that first step?

"And your solution is what?"

I know it won't happen, but if he wants to turn it around and save the GOP and save the nation from the disasters that are about to befall upon us President Bush should:

1) Immediately and forcefully condemn the amnesty bill and vow to veto it.

2) Immediately secure the borders and start enforcing the law. No new legislation is required.

3) Get busy on the war and do whatever it takes to win it, get public opinion on his side, and get that monkey off his back.

4) Condemn McCain-Feingold as an unconstitutional assault on free speech and free elections and call for its immediate repeal.

5) Immediately reissue his call for a defense of marriage amendment and forcefully restate his his positions and his support for pro-life, pro-family, pro-liberty issues and proactively lead the nation in that direction and away from abortion, the gay agenda, gun control, illegal aliens, etc.

6) Immediately begin an effective public relations campaign to lead our country out of the liberal/socialist morass it's falling into.

7) Immediately take charge and start kicking lib/RINO butt! Get in line or get out!

8) President Bush should immediately condemn any and all Republican candidates/officeholders who promote abortion, gay agenda, gun control, illegal aliens, big government, big spending, etc.

9) And, of course, he has to lead by example and that means he'd have to start calling for a reversal of some of his own big government/big spending liberal policies and legislation that he pushed through.

In other words, the GOP had better get its act together and begin acting like they have a pair and had better start running/governing as conservatives or the party will suffer the wrath of the voters. And that's a fact.

Many of us have already voted with our check books. I would rather take my chances at the Casino to secure my families future than wait for the GOP to crawl out from under the rock...

Folks can start by stepping back, taking stock, and not lashing out in negativity and anger at the one party the MIGHT be willing to do something about the situation.

The candidates have nowhere to place blame but upon themselves. It shows the depth of their disconnect that they dare to blame voters. Voters are free to cast their vote as they will, and have no duty to vote for anyone they don’t believe deserves their vote.

Good Lord, you said all of that so well.

Thanks for a great descriptive post!

“Folks can start by stepping back, taking stock, and not lashing out in negativity and anger at the one party the MIGHT be willing to do something about the situation.’

You mean, as long as we’re willing to play nice. Conservatives have been playing nice with the GOP since 1989, and where has it gotten us?
