Duncan Hunter segments from May 15 South Carolina Debate on Fox
Duncan Hunter PING
You are FAST. LOL. Thanks for doing it.
Thank you!
Hey great!! I didn’t get to watch the debate this evening and the debate thread was too far along to get caught up tonight. Anyone care to share their thoughts about the debate and how Duncan fared in them?
bump
Hunter did well!
Outstanding.
His point on the “scenario” question was GREAT!
The scenario:
Two malls in the US are blown up by terrorists.
What do you do?
His answer (roughly):
One hour with the Sec-Def find the threat and elimate them.
Is the post interview available on the net, yet? I would love to see it.
Just finished watching your link. Hunter really looked good in it. Forceful, confident, knew his topics well and was very articulate! Nice job, Duncan!!
Here's my summary of the debate. I thought Duncan Hunter did well, but he still seems too intense too much of the time.

Good point!
I can’t find it, but they are replaying the debate on FNC, and they’re coming up on the end. If they play the interviews afterwards again, it should be during the next hour. That is.. if you want to stay up that late. Hope you aren’t on the East Coast.
Ping me to it as well if it ends up online. I went offline foxnews.com after the debate and missed it.
Duncah Hunter did really well. He definately came across as the most presidential and the strongest on national defense. Especially in his response to a question about how to handle a hypothetical terrorist attack - he sounded very much like he would be an effective take action sort of president.
“Duncan Hunter - Duncan Hunter needs to appear a little more relaxed in the way he approaches things. He’s a serious man who would be good in a crisis, but he has to show that he’s not always at crisis intensity. He had a chance to speak to some of his issues, and he showed the excellent command of those issues that make many of us support him.”
He may be pressing a little too much to get attention in a crowded field. They get precious little time to make their points. I would bet in a one to one, especially against a Democrat, he would be much more at ease and effective.
I agree.
I liked his answer to that question, also! It would be a good answer to how you win a war. You do whatever it takes! I understand that McCain didn’t like Hunter’s answer when questioned about it post debate.
