Im almost surprised the Ron Paul didnt blame illegal drugs for causing 9/11. Libertarians, when it comes down to it, are utterly impossible to debate with. The madness spews. Its very, very close to Marxist/Leninist/Chomsky mentality. I am not surprised at all.

Thanks, seems like a good plan to me.

Tancredo DID shine tonite, which is a shame, since he is COMPLETELY unelectable.... It's still early. When a few Mexican Rigs start crashing in Cali due to saftey issues and he'll be a strong contender.

Character also counts.
Both Mitt and his 5 sons never served in the military.
They have been to busy making money on the backs of those defending the country.

“That’s one of my big concerns about Fred Thompson—whether it’s health or simply lack of desire to run. I understand the people who say they don’t trust someone who wants passionately to be President, but at the same time, it’s going to be a long hard fight against a vicious opponent, and someone who doesn’t have the will or energy to fight, simply isn’t going to win.”
These are my concerns as well. I like Fred Thompson a lot and would jump behind him in a heartbeat if he is the nominee, but we need a candidate who will inspire the country like Reagan did. Sure Fred’s conservative, but his laid-back, indifferent demeanor may not play well with the “mushy middle” voters. That’s what I’m most concerned about.
I also hate to say this of my fellow female voters, but I think a lot of independent women will vote for Hillary because she’s a woman. We need a candidate who will give them a reason to think otherwise. There are very few in this pool of candidates who I think can do that. Of the top tier candidates that is likely either Giuliani or Romney, IMO, even though they may not be the most conservative.

Having the mainstream media quickly cut to George H. W. Bush looking at his watch over and over again during the Presidential debates didnt help with President Bushs re-election chances either.
Thanks for reminding me. I'd forgotten the details, but I remember things happening during those debates that had me whimpering to myself: "He doesn't really want to win!" There was something he said, too, but I forget what.

Wow the Democrats really know their politics, they even set the agenda for the republican primaries, abortion ,which they know is really a non issue but it does hurt the man who can hurt them the most,Rudy and we follow like sheep.

“Sometime in the mid 1990’s maybe 1994 Paul Weyrich launched a TV Station Conservative Based called National Empowerment Television. You may have seen what was it’s later demise called America’s Voice.”

No....
He won’t....
Have you forgotten last summer’s Million Hispanic Marches/Democrat Illegal Voter Registration Drives?
The 5-10 million Illegal Alien Voters that would show up at the polls would make SURE that Tancredo could never win...
Don’t get me wrong, I LIKE the guy, and think he won tonite’s debate, but the FACTS say he will NEVER even have a slight chance to be President...

That network became the model for Fox News. In fact, Roger Ailes was its CEO before going to FNC.

I agree. One way or another, we're going to need someone with 'star power' at the top of the ticket, to have a chance of winning. And, sadly, there are going to be some idiot women who vote for Hilary, simply because she's a woman. Personally, as a matter of pride, I'd rather have the first woman president get there on her own merits, than simply because she was married to a philanderer, and enabled him all through her married life. (Where's our Margaret Thatcher?)

No Ive never heard of nor seen either.... It's a shame. Only some cable companies carried it when it became America's Voice. I picked up N.E.T. on a 12 foot dish system. If Bob Barr was a guest on a show you could call in and talk to him or any other guest. It really could have been the best thing to happen for the Conservative movement. Any Freeper who got the pleasure of seeing it will tell you that.
What basically happened was Weyrich was voted out of the Chairmanship and it became a mess following that. A deliberate act by the board to control party and independent conservative dissent IMO.

In terms of substantive content from the debates, the 'first tier' GOP candidates are Duncan Hunter, Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney, and Ron Paul.
And I appreciate Tancredo's focus/advocacy on the illegal alien problem.
