He said we brought it on ourselves. We don’t need understanding with the Islamofascists, we need to take care of business the old-fashioned way.

As I said...the Republicans in his CD would rather hold their nose and vote for him than surrender the seat to someone more Liberal than Paul is.

Thos of you NOT from Texas should really listen to those of us that ARE wher he is concerned.

I didn’t like the debate until Brit Hume got involved in the questions. Wallace and the black guy are libs.

Are Repubs going to interview the Dems? What the hell is wrong with FOX?

Ron Paul is finished - KAPUT. What an idiot.

McCain should be pretty much finished too.

Romney and Giuliani come out looking pretty good - unfortunately, although I could read between Giuliani’s lines - tough on terror, liberal at home.

I don’t think Hunter recevied enough attention. I liked Huckabee.

Tommy Thompson is KAPUT also. Is he for real?

“I dislike Rudy enough to vote third-party if he is nominated, but I agree that he had a good debate. Mike Huckabee won, but Rudy did very well for himself.”

So you’d throw your vote away just to make a point? I thought we were the party of common sense.

Read it again:

“Good spin, but I think what Paul said was to agree with Reagan that middle eastern POLITICS are irrational. Understanding our attackers and defusing their appeal to the region is different from picking sides in the MidEast...or maybe that’s the same to you.”

What I was responding to was the idea that not being able to understand the perspectives of all the actors in the Mideast would mean that it was impossible to understand the local appeal of the particular group that caused 9/11 and defuse it.

The below came from the Boston Globe:

"On a questionnaire Planned Parenthood gave to the gubernatorial candidates in 2002, Romney answered ''yes" to the question, 'Do you support the substance of the Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade?' Romney also professed support for state funding of abortion services for low-income women, [Erin] Rowland [spokeswoman for the Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts] said."

Is it true?

I agree , Ron Paul has no business even being in the debates. He’s WAY off base in his thinking .

That certainly excludes those of us who don’t have text messaging (though I would have selected Paul if I could have).

It may be that Giuliani was waiting for Paul to speak this way, so he could reply forcefully. Bill Clinton used similar opportunities to put down GHWB and Dole.

We should have dealt with them using covert ops.

You mean like the Bay of Pigs, or like Desert One? "Covert ops" are more effective in the movies than they are in real life.

Giuliani has tons of political savvy, that much is very clear from this debate.

Yep... It’s President Idol. Fortunately, for us, unlike AI, you don’t get to spend five hours straight texting for President..

Ok now you answered your own question, pat yourself on your back and try and stay on topic of this thread...... there was a debate tonight in Columbia, SC. I did not have access to a television until well into the debate, so I thought maybe I could catch up on this thread. You and some others are trying to start a flame war over nothing to do with this debate and offering absolutely nothing to the purpose of this thread. Please stop.

He said flat out that out national policy brought on the attacks.

Thats like saying that our presence in trading in Tripoli brought on the attacks of the barbary pirates.

Our founding fathers dismissed this.
As FREE men we rail against that notion.
MR Paul stepped in it IMHO

“I don’t even know how to text. Fox was stupid to do that, Idol is fixed enough.”

You made me LOL. Tonight is the first time I knew you could send a text message like that and I wouldn’t have been able to do it if my husband hadn’t helped me. Sheeesh. What about all the people who are texting illiterate.

“And starting from tonight, the four Ron Paul supporters on FR will entertain all of us with their lunacy and tell us “Ron Paul” won the online polls.”

Can’t freep polls yourself? How sad. Must be nobody with the savvy to push buttons is dumb enough to vote for your sour grapes candidate.

Foxnews hasn’t mentioned their text poll yet. Serves Foxnews right for screwing over Duncan Hunter.

A liberal to be the GOP nominee, not on your life!

>>>>>Independents will never support a far right winger ,like it or not it’s the truth.

People like you said the same thing about Ronald Reagan. In 1980, they were proved wrong. I'll take a rightwinger like Reagan ALL the time, especially over some liberal from NYC!
