The Rev. Jerry Falwell arrived at Lynchburg General Hospital today around noon after being found unresponsive in his office. Ron Godwin, the executive vice president of Liberty University, confirmed that Falwell was found unconscious in his office after missing an appointment this morning.
No desire for flame-war here, look elsewhere.
Cheers!
Falwell is with God now and undoubtedly is blissfully happy and very much rewarded. He did so much for God’s kingdom and won so many to Christ. God bless his soul.
After replaying the interview he expanded on his thoughts. Said all religions are equal. There are many ways to god. He even went so far as to say he found the idea that Christ is the only way "repugnant". Said that god didn't care about us most of the time but when we angered him he was quick to get even.
I think there is a good chance that the man is influenced by pure evil.
God bless Jerry. We will miss him and his impact on the world. Prayers for him!
[He has presumably found out by now whether many Southerners’ views of (say) Jews and Catholics are shared in Heaven]
he knew from the moment he was born again that all born again people will inherrit the kingdom of God- that’s the great thing about being born again- it’s not based on how you may feel about someth9ing but rather it’s a personal expoerience with God Almighty Himself who confirms His word through the wisdom and knowledge instilled by the Holy Spirit- doesn’t matter how educated, how rich, how poor- every born again persona has a very real, a very personal confirmation the instant they are born again.

That’s kind of you - thanks for that.
I just found out today in my religion class where a bunch of lefty a##holes were making fun of them, and I had to leave the room before I hit them. It is absolutely disgusting that people would mock the death of a great man like this.
Happily, this man is now in Heaven with God, somewhere most of the idiots who hate him will not see.
May God be with you. You will be missed very much me. I see the leftwing is celebrating his death as if a malignant figure had left our house. We know where these people come from, they also cheered the death of our Lord Christ centuries ago. God bless Mr Falwell’s family in this time of need and RIP valiant warrior of Gop
I don’t mean to be irreverent here, but the title of this is such a hoot. he passed away and was found unresponsive. God bless this man and all he tried to do for America.
Who would be surprised? Much of the intellectual foundations of the modern Emergent Church movement spring out of Britain and its supporters like Rob Bell hold Falwell in contempt over his Bible literalism, eschatology, and Israel-friednly stance. And this is already the “closest” movement from biblical Christianity.
Most Britons sneer at Bible church type of people as “American understanding of Christianity”.
Thank you Dr Falwell for the years working for God’s glory, I will see you in the heavens with Jesus after the rapture.
That could be the case, but if you go to the link, you will see that a lot of the malignant posts are from posters in the United States.
I have dealt with the BBC before. Supportive messages towards American conservatism types of ideologies are automatically censored so there is quite a bit of selection bias if you will.
And in addition, red state Americans (or blue staters who are not hardline liberals/lefties) normally don’t rely the BBC as the primary news source. Those who do tend to be the Howard Dean type. Mind you that this is not Australia which even their conservatives like Alexander Downer will use the BBC extensively.
Prayers for Falwell, the family, and a replacement as great or greater.
Thanks to everyone for their good comments. I met Jerry enough times to call him Jerry, and we discussed not only politics but the effect that he had on the thought process that politicians have used since the mid-’80s. I’ve been in a bit of mourning over this, so am sorry I haven’t posted earlier. Prayers to the many he left here.

However, found it interesting that : Via "Times Square"
The God-fearing pastor and politician, who once took Hustler boss Flynt to court over decency issues, came to befriend the publisher years after they battled in court. And Flynt reveals he desperately tried to persuade Falwell to take better care of his weight - and sent him diets that helped him slim down..."
The Reverend Falwell will be greatly missed for all his contributions to the betterment of society. Falwell practiced what he preached. Falwell's "Christian Soldiers"- marches on.
Prayers for his family and all who loved him. He is in His Father’s house.
