The Rev. Jerry Falwell arrived at Lynchburg General Hospital today around noon after being found unresponsive in his office. Ron Godwin, the executive vice president of Liberty University, confirmed that Falwell was found unconscious in his office after missing an appointment this morning.
Here’s a little snippet of just some of the hate (and this is the cleaner stuff) that is being linked to as part of the cover story on MSNBC:
“I agree - it is a shame that Robertson didn’t go with him! My lesbian partner and I will toast to the demise of Falwell tonight in our home, like the heathens he thought we were. He was a promoter of hatred, a leader of the religious zealots who have been the downfall of this democracy - look at what they gave us - George W. Bush and his corrupt administration. I hope he is having a hard time getting through the pearly gates. WWJD? I hope not welcome Falwell with open arms. I, for one, am glad he has passed. He won’t be able to spew his venom anymore.”
No surprises. And they then go on the wonder why the vast majority of Americans don’t agree with them on issues?
Sheesh.
Exactly my point.
Good one.
It sounds like Jerry had a massive heart attack and was "gone" by the time he was found..
I don't think he suffered before he died, and for that, we just praise God for that blessing.

It’s NOT just DU, it’s anywhere that Liberals, and Liberal Democrats congregate on the Internet...
They cannot help themselves, thier hatred is complete of ANYTHING and ANYBODY that stands in the way of the Gay or Socialist agenda. (many times, they are one and the same...)
In fact, though, they HONOR the Rev by thier hatred of him, and are far to myopic to see it....
We have learned our lesson. I would agree that back-in-the-day, some posters here used to revel in other’s misfortune. But that hasn’t happened on FR for a long, long time. If it did, the Moderators would come down hard and fast.
As well they should. Even our political rivals are human and deserve human compassion.
As for terrorists like Zarkawi, well, I will not refrain from whooping it up when one of them shuffles off the mortal coil...
It was like he had poked Savage with a cattle prod. Savage immediately hung up on him and babbled for a few minutes then went to commercial. Never talked about it again. I wonder what he thought Falwell was going to tell him?
God: Thank you for the life of this dear man, and his faithfulness in teaching Your Word. Bless him in Your eternity. Comfort his family and friends in this time. And, again, thank you.
CD: I agree with AP... a hundred will take his place. He didn’t hold his ministry so tight that others felt demeaned, or that people thought he was “the only one who can...”. I think it will be shown that in his absence, they will be even more well appreciated. That being said, though, he will be missed.
Rest in Peace, Reverend Falwell.
Now.DCPatriot, to you. You need to wander over to the liberal blog sites right now. Go ahead, have a look at their reaction.
You just don’t see it here, DCPatriot, no matter how much you wish it to be so, it just isn’t.
I tried to contact them but it directs me to sign up to Excite.com before I can email them. If anyone has acsess to Excite.com, would they please contact FoxNews and ask them to please show as much respect for Reverend Falwell as they do "Reverend" Sharpton. Thanks in advance.
I remember that interview as well. I don’t know why Savage was surprised about what he said.
I can’t wait to until a Clinton dies so I can see how respectfully Freepers handle that.
1) They are Socialist
2) They are antisemitic especially Christians, and Jews
3) They want to cease all the guns in our great Nation
4) They want to silence free speech through political correctness and the so call “Fairness Doctrine”
5) Most of them are anti Capitalist.
6) There version of the Brown Shirts is the Green Party
7) They want to punish people for thought processes
8) They want to take your property
Need I say more.. This is what comes right off bat... The sad truth is that they do not even realize what they have become.
The actor who played Jerry Falwell in ‘The People Vs Larry Flynt’ was Richard Paul and he passed away in 1998.
It is currently very dark and hateful in DUmmyville. These people must be the most miserable sumbitches on the planet.
Rest in Peace Rev Falwell.
Thanks for everything.
It’s amazing that people could believe this stuff. I guess this kind of delusion keeps their boogeyman scary. This is what happens when you base your worldview entirely on emotion.
Here’s a great example of one of those ‘tolerant, people loving’ DUmmies who wants to take over America someday:
The gates of hell have been opened and ready for this miserable pile of *BLEEP* for a long, long time. I let out a scream of pure joy when I heard the news on TV,and I thanked God. First time in my life I ever did that.I’m always saddened by someone’s passing, but not this time. I will feel nothing but joy ANYTIME I hear of a rightwing racist bigot being dead. They are a cancer on society and the quicker we are rid of them the better off this country will be.
Best news I’ve heard in a long time!” (followed by multiple happy faced emoticons)
Just thanked God for sending Falwell our way. We have learned a lot, and hopefully we can move our great nation in the Right direction.
