On Sunday the President celebrated America's 400th Anniversary in Jamestown.
Today the President discusses CAFE and Alternative Fuel Standards in the Rose Garden of the White House.
The Vice President continued his middle eastern trip over the weekend concluding today with a visit to Jordan. He also gave an interview to Bret Baier of Fox News.
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice arrived in Moscow.
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island
This is the one I would like for my Toaster picture
Sorry about the chocolate hope it did not make too much of a mess
Her picture was a great choice!
Thanks for the great links! I agree on the quality of the pictures tonight. Lots going on to produce good ones!
no mess, just squeeshy. Most of it’s just fine! Don’t be concerned! Thanks so much again!
Ok, I think the MSM is a dinosaur at best ... dad listens to the news but I hate it .. I get my news on-line or from Rush ... yeah, I’m a Rush baby .....
President Bush conducted an orchestra playing Stars and Stripes Forever. I’m sure we will see no videotape on this, however. Apparently he didn’t suck at it. If it’s not making the president look bad, it’s not allowed to be seen. Even a big hit on AlQaeda barely makes the headlines
Bret Hume was showing the clip at the end of the news this evening
Love the bookworm President (as one bookworm to another).
Lovely, gracious, kind Mrs. Bush!!!!
Unfortunately, Brit was probably the only news anchor to do so . . . On the UP side, however, both the President’s ‘maestro’ photo and accompanying article received A LOT of ‘hits’ at YAHOO — the President’s photo even received an average rating of 4.1 stars (VERY HIGH by Yahoo standards)!!
There actually is some good coverage of Dubya’s fun directing the symphony. Even the news on NPR here had a nice story about it, and our local leftist rag gave him a nice writeup. I am stunned.
That doesn't bother me half as much as hearing them refer to him as just Bush. I read that more than I hear it though.
I understand the President’s focus on Washington, Lincoln, Truman, and Churchill: These leaders fought HOT wars (something Reagan did not) and became the target of relentless criticism for doing so . . . I’m glad our President knows his history — it gives him the perspective necessary to make the tough decisions regardless of the short-term political consequences!
thanks for the Dose Snugs & thanks for your welcome comments Deb
In an earlier interview, he was asked about his health and if he should be taking such a long trip etc and he said that his daughter was along to watch over him and that she was assuring that he eat healthy etc. Probably Lynne would have accompanied him but she is probably home with Mary awaiting the birth of the next grandchild.
I was relieved to read today that Liz Cheney did not go to Baghdad with him. She and some other staffers were flown to the UAE.
Here is a photo of Liz by his side meeting with King Abdullah.
My pleasure Dolly
