There did not seem to be an outstanding photo of the President today so I thought the one of the First Lady was very appropriateThis is the one I would like for my Toaster picture

Farther down in the article from the Anchoress it says this
President Bush conducted an orchestra playing Stars and Stripes Forever. I’m sure we will see no videotape on this, however. Apparently he didn’t suck at it. If it’s not making the president look bad, it’s not allowed to be seen. Even a big hit on AlQaeda barely makes the headlines
Bret Hume was showing the clip at the end of the news this evening

He identifies with some of my favorites - Teddy and Lincoln! My fave of all time is Ronald Reagan - but, and people don’t go crazy on me - but I like Kennedy. Today he would be a conservative and must be spinning under his eternally lit flame if he can hear his brother!
Love the bookworm President (as one bookworm to another).

Lovely, gracious, kind Mrs. Bush!!!!

Unfortunately, Brit was probably the only news anchor to do so . . . On the UP side, however, both the President’s ‘maestro’ photo and accompanying article received A LOT of ‘hits’ at YAHOO — the President’s photo even received an average rating of 4.1 stars (VERY HIGH by Yahoo standards)!!

There actually is some good coverage of Dubya’s fun directing the symphony. Even the news on NPR here had a nice story about it, and our local leftist rag gave him a nice writeup. I am stunned.

I hate it when the MSM refers to President Bush as Mr. Bush That doesn't bother me half as much as hearing them refer to him as just Bush. I read that more than I hear it though.

I understand the President’s focus on Washington, Lincoln, Truman, and Churchill: These leaders fought HOT wars (something Reagan did not) and became the target of relentless criticism for doing so . . . I’m glad our President knows his history — it gives him the perspective necessary to make the tough decisions regardless of the short-term political consequences!

Is it just me, or does it seem that the vice president has gained some weight? He needs to be very careful about that, considering his heart history. In an earlier interview, he was asked about his health and if he should be taking such a long trip etc and he said that his daughter was along to watch over him and that she was assuring that he eat healthy etc. Probably Lynne would have accompanied him but she is probably home with Mary awaiting the birth of the next grandchild.
I was relieved to read today that Liz Cheney did not go to Baghdad with him. She and some other staffers were flown to the UAE.
Here is a photo of Liz by his side meeting with King Abdullah.
