"But its a slap in the face to all the people who did it the right way, and to those who are patiently waiting in line to legally get in."

Agreed, but it's an even bigger slap in the face to ALL AMERICANS!!

One thing about wanting various voices in politics, even if they have no chance of winning, is they help to steer the Party back to it’s roots. I am glad Tancredo and Paul exist. Maybe someday we can have Presidents who cherish America over “diversity.”

Tancredo said his basic policy about government mirrors that of Thomas Jefferson.
"The government that governs best is that which governs least," he said. "Our government is far too large."

One note Tommy should stay in congress. I do like the fact that he alone seems to be pushing this issue in the debates. I would LOVE to see him go DIRECTLY after Mr. Multiculturalism (Rooty) on the latter’s support of Noo Yawk as a sanctuary city that has been “enriched” by the Third Worlders that make up the majority of NYC (check the census figures!).

On Islamofascism:
“We are the last best hope of Western civilization. And so all of the theories that go behind our activities subsequent to these nuclear attacks going off in the United States, they go out the window because when -- when we go under, Western civilization goes under.”
- Tom Tancredo

On No Child Left Behind:
“The goals are great. But it is not the federal government's role to tell the states what to do. When I say there should be local control of schools, I mean you, as a parent, have control."
- Tom Tancredo

On Jimmy Carter’s US School Board:
"There is no constitutional role of the federal government to have the Department of Education. I don’t believe we should have the U.S. Department of Education."
- Tom Tancredo

On Immigration:
The bill's authors "seem to think that they can dupe the American public into accepting a blanket amnesty if they just call it 'comprehensive' or 'earned legalization' or 'regularization,' " said Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., a presidential candidate and strong opponent of illegal immigration. "The president is so desperate for a legacy and a domestic-policy win that he is willing to sell out the American people and our national security."

On Healthcare:
"Helping people join health care associations, or starting health saving plans is a great idea. I support that, as well as allowing them to buy health insurance from wherever they want. That expands individual freedom and opportunities."
- Tom Tancredo

On Taxes:
“A growing chorus of economists and experts argue, and I agree, that the current income tax system is complex and unfair and should be replaced by a flat tax or national sales tax. Simplifying the process would dramatically reduce the costs of compliance, make American companies more competitive, and put billions back into the economy by encouraging investment.”
-Tom Tancredo … Tancredo also spoke at the FairTax rally Tuesday, May 15, 2007 where he declared his support for the FairTax

On Gun Control:
”I fully and completely support the right of the people to keep and bear arms. The failure of the ACLU to defend this right, and of federal courts to make the second amendment binding on the states, as they have made the first amendment and most others, testifies to their intellectual hypocrisy.”
-Tom Tancredo
