We had 90 yesterday, and today looks like a repeat. 81 at 1030 and the hot part of the day isn’t here yet.

My back has been killing me since we moved the daughter out of the fourth story dorm. 54 stair steps each way, just to get up and down the stairs.

PARENTAL WARNING: this recipe calls for asparagus. Your children might be offended. However, you can create a "family-friendly version....see suggestions at very end. Asparagus with Honey Mustard
Its amazing what a simple stir-together sauce can do to awaken the flavor of vegetables!
Prep Time:10 min
Start to Finish:25 min
Makes:6 servings
2 pounds asparagus
1/4 cup honey
3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon olive or vegetable oil
1. Snap off tough ends of asparagus spears.
2. Heat 1 inch water (salted if desired) to boiling in 12-inch skillet. Add asparagus. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 8 to 12 minutes or until stalk ends are crisp-tender; drain.
3. Shake remaining ingredients in tightly covered container. Drizzle over asparagus.

p.s. I’m going to try this with something other-than-asparagus. And, even add some hot pepper flakes.
