NATO holds largest naval exercise in Baltic Sea
Sunday 13th May, 2007
Stockholm, May 13 (Xinhua) NATO's has begun its largest naval exercise in the Baltic Sea in the waters off Sweden's southern port city of Gothenburg.
The exercise, which kicked off Saturday, involves around 10,000 troops and 80 warships from 17 countries including the US, Britain and France. It will last until May 24.
The manoeuvre is aimed at improving NATO troops' ability to handle crises in inshore waters and to reach the scene quickly when terrorist attacks occur.
NATO holds similar military exercises annually.
As a member of NATO's Partnership for Peace programme, Sweden this year sent 700 troops, two frigates, two minesweepers and one submarine to the war games.
However, over 3,000 Gothenburg citizens demonstrated against the NATO exercises Saturday. The protesters said they hated see their city being associated with what they called an 'aggressive' military alliance like NATO.

Have you heard of an interview in "Welt am Sonntag" by a former German ambassador to Poland Frank Elbe and a former director from the Defense Dep. of Germany Ulrich Weisser?
So that would also mean that the view of Mr. Kwaśniewski is the official position of Poland. I mean, after all, we're talking about retirees.
Read it and you will know what NATO "allied" Germans really are.
Of course, you omit to give a link to the Source (
http://www.welt.de/wams_print/article869222/Europas_Raketenkrise.html). Because, as so often, it hardly contains what you claim. For the most part, it's a dry essay on international law. Pro-Russian, granted, and mostly rubbish, but Poland is hardly mentioned at all (3 times, to be precise).
Blood is boiling while reading! They are truly obsessed about Poland, just like their nazi ancestors. No difference!
In case of fever, I would recommend broad-spectrum antibiotics, tea and bedrest. But I guess it doesn't take much to get your blood boiling. After all, you, my friend, are a master of the politics of indignation.
Tell me , Lizol. Is it really possible for a regular human being not to hate Germans?
Ah, the classical dychotomy human vs. non-human. For Hitler, non-humans were jews, in your case, it's Germans. At least it's not hard to tell the source of your rhetoric.
Look, wherever they can, they try to do Poland harm with sadistic pleasure together with their press that have been leading a smearing and hatred campaign against Poland since PiS came to power.
Ah, the
jewishGerman world conspiracy, another all-time favorite.
As I said, I don't agree with the conclusions of Elbe and Weisser (but then again I also think that Germany should develop its own nuclear weapons, so my position isn't exactly mainstream, either). But you, dear vox_PL, need to learn to control your racist outbursts.

The headline says, Bush should not talk with the goverment of the RP(Republic of Poland)
That's certainly an attention-getter of a headline, but not exactly what the Welt article said. The quote from the original reads differently:
Notwendig sind jetzt eine Lösung innerhalb der Nato und ein offenes Gespräch mit Russland. Der G-8-Gipfel in Heiligendamm bietet dafür ein wichtiges Forum. Präsident Bush ist also nicht gut beraten, am Vorabend des Gipfels mit Polens Regierung in Warschau über die Raketenabwehr zu sprechen. Er wird damit den Gipfel eher belasten.
Translation: What is necessary now is a [common] solution within NATO and open talks with Russia. The G8 summit in Heiligendamm offers an important platform [for such talks]. Therefore, President Bush isn't well advised to schedule talks with Poland's government about the missile defense [shield] the evening before the summit. Such would put a strain on the summit.

This information was No1 in all Polish media today (all media are anti goverment!)
Yeah, a game of Chinese whispers (głuchy telefon?) by the main stream meadia, where one newspaper comes up with a murky translation and all the others report about the report instead of the source, that is certain to convey the truth, for sure, I mean totally.... [/sarc]
As I said, the article is mostly bullshit (e.g. it suggests that it is wrong to negotiate with Iran from a position of strength instead of eye-to-eye). But that hardly changes the fact that you shouldn't forget to take your medication ;). Those anti-German outbursts are getting old...

You are just a primitive offender, as primitive as they come!
No, darling, those were YOUR words: Is it really possible for a regular human being not to hate Germans? (implying by the juxtapposition that Germans were no humans). I simply pointed out the fact, that there is a historical precedent for such language.
And don't console yourself! My attitude to you is not for racial reasons. Racially we are the same! I'm not a racist or nazi! It's purely because of what happened during your (in)famous European Tour 1939-1945. It's enough to hate you till the Kingdom Come.
Given that fact that neither I nor my mother were born during that period of time, it of course makes total sense that you personally hate me for that... [/sarc].
So, what do you expect from us, Poles? Respect? Trust? Friendship?
He who thinks that nations have "friends" is a fool. Nations have interests. And many of the Poland's interests are the same as Germany's, i.e.: Stability, peace, trade, growth etc. That's what I hope for. Not more, not less. Other than that, I don't care. Pray to Mary instead of God, if you have to, keep your socialist economic model, frankly I don't give a flying *bleep*.
No! You must be out of your mind if you expect any of these. You even do not deserve indifference.
Dearest vox_PL, form you I expect zilch, nada, niente. Some people are 100% resistant to fact or logic, and you are one of them. There is nothing that can be done in such a case.
