Saniora: Arab states don't want to wipe Israel off the map
Jerusalem Post ^ | 5-11-2007 | Staff Writer

"The Arab states are not seeking to wipe Israel off the map," Lebanese Prime Minister Faud Saniora claimed in a New York Times editorial on Friday morning. "Rather," he continued, "we are seeking the legitimate goals of an armistice, secure borders and the ability of all of the region's people to live in peace and security."

Saniora went on to say that the Winograd Committee's interim report on the Second Lebanon War failed to draw the most essential lesson that "military action does not give the people of Israel security," adding that compromise and diplomacy were the answer to instability.

“...we are seeking the legitimate goals of an armistice, secure borders and the ability of all of the region’s people to live in peace and security” and THEN we’ll wipe them off the map.

Oh, so those leaders that say “we want to wipe Israel off the map and kill all the Jews” were just misinterpreted...

I guess he never bothered to read the Hamas charter, or listened to Amadjihadi in Iran shooting his mouth off, as well as the weekly sermons in every mosk in surrounding Islamic states.

"Rather," he continued, "we are seeking the legitimate goals of an armistice, secure borders....."

Translation: He wants Israel to allow time for the region's terrorist orgs (and their state sponsors) to sufficiently arm themselves (preferably with WMD), and he wants a Palestinian terror state a few miles from the major Israel population centers.

and ensured the right of return of the Palestinian people.

Until the words, "the right of return" disappear from their lexicon, the Palestinian entity will have no peace, security, or prosperity. Nor will it deserve any.

The Lebanese showed in the recent unpleasantness just what they are. They sit and allow Hezbollah to take over their country and make trouble for everyone. THey whine and equivocate all through the process. They they cry and whine after at what a mess their country is. It was a mess before; it just didn’t look quite as bad.

"The Arab states are not seeking to wipe Israel off the map,"

Don't expect me to believe you when Iran, Syria and other Islamo-terrorist states are on the record saying differently.

Off the map? No.
Off the face of the earth? Yes.

“”The Arab states are not seeking to wipe Israel off the map,”

The map is not the place you need to worry about Israel being wiped off of. In the words of Alfred Korzybski, “The map is not the territory.”
