Dear Freepers,
Get a load of this:
I was listening to the Quinn & Rose show this morning on XM radio when Host, Jim Quinn told his audience that Howard Dean called Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius early, around 5 am, one morning after the tornado had destroyed the town of Greensburg, Kansas and discussed with her what to say about the tornado and how to blame the war in Iraq and the Bush administration on a slow response to the aftermath.
He also said that she, Gov. Sebelius, called Senator Sam Brownback's office only to learn he wasn't there but then called him on his cell phone and reached him while he was in his car were she confessed to him that she had been instructed by her party leadership, (more specifically, Howard Dean) on how to politicize the tornado's destruction of Greensburg and attack the White House and the Iraq war for a seemingly slow response. She reassured the Senator that her allegations didn't blame him or Pat Roberts, also a Kansas Senator, for the lack of immediate response.
That would explain her public statements to the press that proved later to be untrue. She made statements to the effect that the Iraq war and the deployment of the national guard units to Iraq from her state has left Kansas without the equipment and man power needed to respond more quickly to the tornado's aftermath. This all turns out to be false and the governor herself has back tracked on her own claims.
Mr. Quinn also revealed that she confessed to Brownback that she couldn't pass up such an opportunity like this to attack the President whose approval ratings, in this hostile political climate, is so low.
These revelations are startling and if true should call into question the governors competence and her judgment. Quinn adamantly stressed that his source, who he didn't name because he was sure it would jeopardize his job, was extremely reliable and in a position that would give him direct knowledge of these revelations.
But, really, as terrible as that tragedy was, how many assets do you need to serve 1500 displaced people and clean up the wreckage from a town that small?
I’ll match your dollar with a donation to my fave as well. :)
I was paraphrasing when I wrote this. So whether I got everything exactly right is too be seen. I do think I pretty much pegged it though. But without a transcript or audio, that’s all I can do.
It is an interesting pattern, started with Lawton Chiles to refuse help from the feds and then blame feds for not helping.
As a Kansan, I never voted for her. What a lowlife disgusting thing to do when my neighbors are hurting if this turns out to be true.
Will this make the msm? Never.
This is just stupid. I am sorry, but BROWNBACK WOULD NOT KEEP THIS QUIET.
Maybe she was told to say this, but there is not a chance in hell she talked to Brownback.
Not much but I was thinking more along the lines of medical equipment and combat engineer equipment.
Sounds like the same scenario in New Orleans. Blame Bush for not responding immediately when the Gov didn't even request help.
If this is true these people should be removed from office and run out of the state.
An interesting side note Google Earth released a template yesterday with good resolution and you can see that the city has lot’s of volunteers in it right now. Also on Ft. Riley they have the very large equipment yards that hold trucks and trailers etc for the KsNG, most of the armored vehicles are gone but quite a few of the trucks are still there(as of mid 2006 google image), you can check this by going to Google Earth and going by the Ogden Gate you will see a large motor pool, the equipment furthest east inside that area is dedicated to the KSNG.
What a maroon...
Didn’t she think this would catch up to her?
I agree. The 'rats do not wait for verification before accusation. They are aware that whatever's out there first is what people remember.
Of course the conservative side of an issue would not get the drumbeat of publicity that the 'rats get. In fact, the MSM would immediately defend the left or even attack us for accusing. It's the seriousness of the charge, dontcha know?
You in Hutch? I just noticed your Salthawk nickname.
Sebelius might. She’s as stupid as she is leftist.
Listen to Hannity, NOW!
Listen to Hannity! Quinn & Rose is on there right now!
Please update us office bounds on the interview.
I was just going to say they’re not fit to clean out a peep-show booth in Newark, but your suggestion is pretty good.
Oh, please. Brownback is a gentleman, not a RAT. He may confirm this, but he wouldn’t break it.
