Sources: Brothers Charged in Alleged Fort Dix Terror Plot May Have Been Smuggled Into U.S.

FORT DIX, N.J. — The three brothers being charged as part of the alleged Fort Dix terror plot may have been smuggled across the border, FOX News has learned. Dritan "Anthony" or "Tony" Duka, 28; Shain Duka, 26; and Eljvir "Elvis" Duka, 23, were in the United States illegally. Federal investigators were exploring whether they were smuggled into the country or entered as stowaways.

Because the three men entered the United States without inspection, there is no legal record of their entry.

The six being charged in the alleged plot — Mohamad Ibrahim Shnewer, 22; Serdar Tatar, 23; Agron Abdullahu, 24; and the Duka brothers — were ordered held without bail for a hearing Friday....

Four of the arrested men were born in the former Yugoslavia, one was born in Jordan and one came from Turkey, authorities said. Three were in the United States illegally; two had green cards allowing them to stay in this country permanently; and the sixth is a U.S. citizen.

Federal investigators are now checking whether the latter three lied on their immigration paperwork...

One drove a cab, three were roofers. Another worked at a 7-Eleven and a sixth at a supermarket. Their alleged plot to attack Fort Dix was foiled by another blue-collar worker: a video store clerk...

Weis said the U.S. is seeing a "brand-new form of terrorism," involving smaller, more loosely defined groups that may not be connected to Al Qaeda but are inspired by its ideology...

The restaurant's chef, Joseph Hofflinger, 35, quit after learning the owner was the father of one of the suspects.

"My son is in the 82nd Airborne," Hofflinger told ABC. "I won't work for a place that supports terrorism so I'm out."

Not the only state, no. I actually wasn’t clear enough.

I’m talking about citizenship/immigration status documentation.

Fox News had an administrator from the El Paso school district on saying that they are not in the business of determing immigration status.

They’ve opened a high-speed crossing lane for all the Mexican kids who cross the border to attend school in El Paso.

“Authorities have absolutely no clue who has crossed the border over the last 6 years. And at 3500-plus per day, the odds are that the three illegals in this story are just the pin-prick tip of the iceberg.”

Amen to that!

You are aware that these people got in 12 years ago, right? This has nothing to do with Bush.
How do you know that? “Dritan “Anthony” or “Tony” Duka, 28; Shain Duka, 26; and Eljvir “Elvis” Duka, 23, were in the United States illegally.” You mean these three illegals were 16, 14, and 11 when they entered? I don’t think so.

They’ve actually been here for 23 years. They grew up from infancy here illegally.

Source please. This is from a NYT story:

"Kevin O’Brien, 36, who lives in the same community, said he had gone to bars twice with several of the men, who told him they were avid hunters. Mr. O’Brien said the men drank whiskey and beer and asked him about his stint in the Marines, trading stories of their own military training in the former Yugoslavia.

Did they return to Yugoslavia for military training? Was Elvis Duka born here?

As Duncan Hunter said, 155,000 OTMS caught last year. That means 4 times that number got through.

Why does our government not take this seriously?

“155,000 OTMS caught last year. That means 4 times that number got through.”

There are still at least 4 others who haven't been caught. (caught on video)

More than one official (including Tenet) have said AQ, Hezbolla, the Iranians and others, are on our soil, waiting and planning. Having an open border might already be a moot point.

The only source I have seen stating that they crossed in TX in 1984 was a WND story. I have been looking and have not seen it repeated elsewhere, just the 12 year bit.

The way the story was written contradicted itself a bit too as it mentioned no one knew when they smuggled in along with an anonymous border agent quote stating 1984.

I guess family values don’t stop at the Tigris.”

I heard something their coming into this country illegally in 1984.....

Fox News reported this morning that some of the men came across the southern border as infants or small children, grew up in the US.

Sorry, no source on that, but their site probably has more info.

Yeah I saw that a little while ago as well. Exact same story as reported in WND and has an AP byline.

One of the fathers of one of the boys had a visa, overstayed it, melted into the “pot” and has been illegally in the US since.

Follow the $$$$$.

We have republicans as well as dems in the ‘Albanian caucus’ protecting the likes of these terrorists!

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., has raised more than $7.9 million since 2005 for his Straight Talk America leadership committee...Albanian American Civic League
$5,000 raised by people with this employer.

The entire list of the ‘Albanian Caucus’ is disturbing, but these stand out! I suggest they be contacted. There are also dems on the list, but it would be nice to know what these R’s think about the current situation!
