Last week's CBS Evening News viewership was the lowest it has been since at least 1987, which is as far back as Nielsen records date.
It's accurate to call it the smallest audience for the Evening News in decades.
Last week's average total viewership was 6,050,000. Katie Couric's previous low of 6,157,000 came in March.

Lowest number of viewers in 20 years — and with a much larger population! LOL!

Even though perky little Katie is a good little communist ... it isn’t all her fault ... hopefully some portion of the American Giant is beginning to wake up

The Rather legacy - not Couric’s fault. Dan Rather is a loonie who still is spilling his bilge on the country.

It's accurate to call it the smallest audience for the Evening News in decades. As it should be.

Lowest number of viewers in 20 years and with a much larger population! I was thinking the same thing. I wonder what percentage of US households watch CBS news. I bet that is an All Time record.

Yeah, but that is still 6.050,000 too many misinformed viewers.

Couric and Williams have no gravity or credibility. Charlie Gibson does a bit. That’s why he’s killing them.

Very few are gonna lose any sleep over CBS’ fall. For many, many, years the CBS News guys thought they were gods. When they helped the WaPo get Nixon they were on top of the world.
Since Rather’s fraud was uncovered they have fallen a long, long, way down.
Good.

What would Dear old Dan say? Fewer viewers than the turnout for a hog hollerin’ contest in Mecca?
